Does this game actually have a following?

Why should we care is the first thing that comes to mind. I'm a video gamer and I've never cared for this idea. Another question is do we honestly want Paul Anderson doing another video game translation? I know he's nowhere near as bad as Uwe Boll, but come on...I'm still fearful of Castlevania...

This one's going straight to DVD!!! If you've read some of my other posts, you already know I've talked about people like this...who are automatically given position in Hollywood because of who they know, and not because they are good, or great, at what they do. Paul W.S. Anderson is one of the worst directors of all time, rivaling even Uwe Boil for the crown of most incompetent director in the world...and yet, he still gets job, after job, after job!!! Ed Wood looks like a f'ing genius compared to these two mavericks of trash cinema!!!

Joss Whedon can't get a movie directorial job to save his life, and the MF is brilliant... and Jason Lin, the fabulous director of the great Better Luck Tomorrow, Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Annapolis...struggles to get every job, even though he has more than proven himself to be a better director than the more high profile Robert Rodriguez and Michael Bay...put together!!!

I'll give you that Anderson is a hack, but this movie is NOT going straight to DVD. Universal bought the rights a few years back from Midway games and had John Woo and the Rock attached. They've already attached so much above the line talent to this it will not go straigh to dvd. no way. it might not get made. or it might be a terrible film. (The latter is most likely.) But this is not going to be some million dollar straight to dvd project. Forget it. I'm with you on Anderson sucking though. You had be at Boil.

I think they should make Bubbles into a movie. I used to play that game all the time at my local arcade in the 80's . (Not Bubble Bobble, although a CGI take on that would be cute for the kids)
To play it go HERE!

LOL

metalwater: Annapolis? Are you serious? That has to be one of the WORST movies that came out last year. I'll grant that Better Luck Tomorrow was good, but even Tokyo Drift was barely watchable. I agree with you about Whedon, but Lin is starting to look like a one hit wonder. Thank God he has not made any progress on an Oldboy remake.

scoxocs: hahaha... I haven't thought about Bubbles for a long time. Good times.

Anderson isn't anything special I agree. But why does everyone love Joss Whedon I mean "Serenity/Fifrefly" is ok but Buffy isn't something that awsome. He took a shit movie and made a just as shitty show. Great Accomplishment. Lin is ok but I'm still waiting for somethng as good as his first flick.

Horrible......its all about timing when it comes to the release of a movie.....this will flop because Transformers is about to come out....had it come out 1st then maybe......

Metalwater ... i agree with your statement about Whedon ... but i agree with Verbalkent on your statment about annapolis and tokyo drift ... i really hope lin doesnt get ahold of Oldboy because those movies are amazing

i dont know why Anderson keeps getting work because his films are, lets just say ... horrible. Same goes for uwe boll, there are MUCH better directors out there ... in fact there are much better IDEAS out there ... why they keep handing Anderson video game concepts is beyond me ...

actually why they keep handing Anderson jobs and a paycheck is beyond me

Yippee. Spy Hunter is still being kicked around.
This project is in tax writeoff status only.
