ANGEL's Boreanaz becomes ABC's hitman

David Boreanaz in new pilot for network television

It appears that former ANGEL leading man David Boreanaz is preparing for his return to the small screen. The actor will star in a new drama pilot for ABC, Warner Bros. Television and the Tennenbaum Company based on the life of an undercover cop posing as hit man named Jack Ballantine. The alphabet network has ordered a pilot and could order the show to go to series, with broadcast possibly in the fall of 2005.

Patrick Kelly Smith (DON'T SAY A WORD, A PERFECT MURDER) is writing the pilot's script.
