All right, so when Tony Stark and Bruce Banner rode off together at the end of The Avengers who wanted to follow? Their paring, will never get a live action movie, thankfully the animated world has a little more leeway. Marvel is pairing the two in a post-Avengers film titled “Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United”.
What could Marvel possibly throw at these heroes? Well the beastie’s name is Zzzax (a creature formed out of pure energy who can absorb human minds) and we’ll have to wait until April 23rd, 2013 to see it all happen. Funny how Iron Man 3 is right around the corner from that release date.
Entertainment Weekly spoke with executive VP of Marvel’s TV division, Jeph Loeb, about the feature, “We see his origin in the movie. It’s what would happen if the entire Eastern seaboard [electrical grid] went out”. The two heroes meet up, thinking of each other as to blame.”
Loeb then said, “It’s our hope that we will start doing more feature-length direct to Blu-ray and DVD stories,” he says. “They’ll more than likely be in team-up situations. We find it works really well when we have big exciting adventures with two or more of our heroes.”
