According to Reuters, the last film made by the late Anna Nicole Smith, a sci fi comedy titled Illegal Aliens, will be released onto DVD this May.

The film stars Smith as one of three aliens who transform themselves into super-hot babes and arrive to protect the Earth from intergalactic forces of evil.

Smith invested her own money in the project and her son Daniel served as an associate producer for the film.

KJ's Take:  I read news like this and just feel bad.  Not for anyone in particular, just bad in general.  I feel like this is a blatant attempt to turn her untimely death into as many greenbacks as possible, such is the world we live in.  Oh, and the film sounds dreadfully bad.

I`m not trying to be mean or anything but who really cares? The woman is dead. I know its a genre flick but If she was alive would you guys really be reporting this? I severely doubt it. I agree with KJ and it is sad that they are trying to make dough off her death, but you aren`t helping the situation by reporting it.

I imagine they'd still do this little blurb about the film. She was a known celebrity. But her death and the circus surrounding her makes it moreso.
I saw the trailer for this movie online. It is beyond stupendously bad. It wasn't even bad in the "so bad it's good" sort of way.

What a freakin' mess this whole thing has turned into. I always thought she was the biggest train wreck ever when she was alive, little did I know that it would grow larger with her timely death. I thought she was worthless, but little did I know the real scumbags would come out of the cracks after she died. Her estranged mother?? Maybe she should stop blaming everybody else for her daughter's messed up life and take a long look in the mirror. Stern? Dude seems really shady to me. All the guys claiming to be the father? all they see is $$$. Unfortunately it seems her daughter is doomed from the start.

As for the movie, crap, just like all her other straight to dvd videocam movies, pure crap. She was a C list celeb and you would think the Pope died from all the coverage it has received.

I've never seen a single thing that Anna appeared in, but I have to admit that I've gotten sucked into the flurry of intrigue surrounding her death.

More coverage than the Pope? Sure, but unlike the Pope, her story has become more interesting after her death. If this whole fiasco had been written as a script, Hollywood would have rejected it as being too absurd for the public to accept.

Exactly Ponyboy, because it IS a genre flick we report on it. And this is news in our space, and news is put here for all of us to debate and comment on whether it is negative or positive.

This makes Rambo 4 sound good.

Anna Nicole Smith was not the best actress ever, but she was DAMN Funny in the film NAKED GUN 33 and a Third: The Final Insult! It does make me sick to the stomach knowing that her now motherless daughter is being pulled 3 ways be evil people who absolutley do not have any regard for this baby, but she is the ultimate Pawn where over 450 million dollars is concerned. I was shocked when I heard of her death, and very sad for her. It reminded me of the sudden loss of my best friend, she did not deserve to die that young, and neither did Anna Nicloe, no matter what we thought of her, she choose a path, and that is where it ended.

Will I buy this DVD when it comes out? Heck no, but I would be curious to see it sometime.
