Alright, producer JJ Abrams is being Mr. Sneaky once again. For all you LOST fans, you know how there is a bunch of playful websites operated by the creators incorporated with getting clues and discerning codes in regards to the show. It looks like producer JJ Abrams is going to enjoy the same kind of experience for this top secret CLOVERFIELD movie.

Film Ick reported that yet another website has been launched in relation to the movie.

Ethanhaaswasright.com

I've already got an idea on what to do on this website. Put your mouse on the far right star in the sky. An "alien" alphabet will appear in the sky. It goes in order from A-Z.

On the pod containing the rumored "Parasite", I believe you're supposed to type out "Ethan Haas Was Right" in alien language. Good luck. It takes some patience to write out the correct alien language text and then type in those keywords on the alien pod. If you do it, let me know what happens.

I unlocked the orb by following the sequence it provides for you (when you first open the orb, it raises and lowers several buttons in a specific order). If you press any wrong button, it goes through the sequence again. You'll know if you hit the right button because it stays up until you hit another.

After unlocking it, the screen went black except for a small button at the top right. Don't press this button, as it is the "stop" button for an "underground" video that is about to play in 20 seconds or so. It is purposely low quality so you can barely see anything, but it appears to be a soldier saying that Ethan Haas's predictions were right. It also goes on to say that because you found the video, you're "one of us" (and not alien, I presume) and to further prove it, you need to bring more people to the site. It also says something to the effect that you can only see it until August 1st. After the video is over, it takes you back to the main screen. You can view it again by clicking on the newly appeared star to the left above the star that brings up the e-mail to van@ethanhaaswasright.com.

OK, weird. I went to the site again because I was curious to see what letters are spelled out by the sequence I mentioned above (It is not long enough to be ethanhaaswasright). When I opened it again, the third star was still there and now the orb opened up to be something completely different. It has two vertical wheels with the symbols that you can rotate individually.
You'll have to use the alphabet for this one. On the vertical wheels, find the symbols for H and A. Then, rotate the horizontal wheel until you get the symbols for A and S (spelling "HAAS"). This starts another video and then a third puzzle appears and the city in the backdrop has been destroyed.

There are five puzzle games in all. If you e-mail the address on the site (van@ethanhaaswasright.com), I think he sends you an e-mail back with clues on how to beat the puzzles. Or you can cheat and look 'em up on Google.

There is another website that has poped up that has poped uphttp://www.ethanhaaswaswrong.com with a quote from Allahu Akbar which is from H.P LoveCraft wouldn't it be cool if this is a Call Of Cathuulu movie from J.J Abrams just a thought.

I'm not sure if I think this is cool or if I'm annoyed. It is very clever though. Hope the movie is as clever.

has anyone commented on the fact that in the "bootlegged" trailer on youtube the "creature" sounds oddly like that of the creature on LOST? or the fact that "Ethan" was one of The Others on LOST?

I'm sure this is coincidence, and that this movie is totally it's own seperate entity, but I'm also sure that they're aware of the similarities and are counting on a little cross-pollinization between fans/audiences (since Abrams co-created LOST).

could this be the threat that The Others and/or The Hanso Corporation have been trying to avoid???

(again, I don't think so, but I think it's fun to play around with and I think that's also what they're going for.)

I will say I agree with "almostunbiased" -- I hope the movie is this clever... cause often, all the cleverness and marketing gags are developed AFTER the movie is made and the script is written. let's hope they didn't put the cart before the horse this time, and it all pans out to good fun.

I'm always up for a well-told movie, and J.J. Abrams does that good (when he's at the top of his game).

I can't get the 4th puzzle to do anything.

Ok, when I link to the site, I see a round grey orb with a glowing blue "eye". It has nine glowing blue dots in a circle around it. The blue dots are evenly spaced but it looks like there should be a 10th dot at the top left that isn't there. The written text "Ethan Hass Was Right" is scrawled under the orb. There is no way that I've found to interact with anything on screen. When I do a "view source"....it contains this text: "...war came, no longer from the elemental nor from the star's rain of fire. The world was again remade, and the glow was as the coming of the sun upon the Earth. The children of the gods were again too few, scattered and divided and among them walked the ancients and those whose thoughts were not as to the towers and the marvels, but to the End and the destruction of the Earth and to the fires from which nothing could escape."

I have NO idea what this means but it sounds cool.

WOW. Sounds like a lot of work for nothing.

I loved the trailer for this movie more than any I have ever seen. Hell, I almost liked it better than most full length features I've seen recently. I do however prefer the days when studio marketers were just trying to guess what color font I might like the film's title in though....lol....damn intellectually lazy of me I know.
