I must admit this sounded horrible when I read the title of the article, but Andrew Kevin Walker is a genius. Add Del Toro and the capable Romanek, and I'll go see it.

Good thing they're not trying to do another remake though, right?

the funny thing about Sir hopkins is, it suppose to be the last movie, it s always suppose to be the last movie, alreay a year ago he mention again one and i stop...I beleive James coburn was rigth, when he mention # Actors are boring when they are not working. It's a natural condition, because they don't have anything to do. They just lay around, and that's why so many of them get drunk. They really get to be boring people. My wife will attest to that."

about the wolfman, i have faith....del toro can be good if the director know how to use him, like Sin city, also can be a bad like hunted

Walker's a good writer and I can really see Del Toro sinking his teeth (pun intended) into this role. I hope Hopkins doesn't retire; seeing him on screen is always a treat (except for that piece of crap movie he made with Chris Rock).

I'm curious, but this could bomb. "Classic" horror characters from the 19th century carry a lot of baggage. The audience already "knows" (read: think they know) about werewolves, &c., and will scoff if the film doesn't meet with their recollection of what a werewolf is. Of course, no two audience members will have exactly the same recollection. I'll wait for more info and a trailer, and hope for the best.

Well, hopefully they can do for this what Stephen Sommmers did for the Mummy. made it a fun ride that was pure Entertainment and eye candy. If they put a new spin on Wolfie, it could be very enjoyable. Plus, Benicio was already the dog faced boy in Big Top Pee-Wee, and he really looked the part.

I'm in the opposite camp - I hope they don't "Mummify" the Wolfman story. I'd rather see a more straightforward horror movie.

I'm with snallygaster in hoping they don't go over the top with the story and make this campy. Del Toro has the chops to making this a chilling horror movie about a man battling the beast inside. Give it a look like "From Hell," dirty and realistic.

Yeah, I actually see this as more of a "Dracual" type of movie. Ironically Anthony Hopkins was in that too when he played Dr. VanHelsing. It was more of a period horror/drama piece than that piece of turd "VanHelsing"

Am I the only one hoping this is just a spin off for Benicio and the part he had in Big-Top Pee Wee?
