Sounds like a fine idea.

I think more of the original X-Men movie characters will soon be signing in too. It's kind of required in order for their to be a future for the present day (meaning 60's version) mutants to contrast with.

And of course the details of the original story will have to be changed. It can't be Kitty Pryde who travels back into her younger self since she wasn't around in the 60's. The obvious choice has to be Mystique. With Jennifer Lawrence a much bigger star its natural to expand her part and have Rebecca Romijn again play her in the distorted future.

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are coming back and rumors of Famke Janssen have been floating around so this isn't surprising at all. A lot of the other characters you can kill off if they want to.

I'm for some unfathomable reason starting to look forward to this. Ah ever the optimnist

I'm still thinking about other changes they could make to the story. In the original it was the assassination of Senator Kelly by mutants that creates a dystopian future. Kelly I always assumed was a version of Ted Kennedy. Since this movie will be in the 60s why not make the assassination about John Kennedy. But what if in order to stop the awful future they have to make sure JFK is killed?

All i know is that they better POUR all the money they have into this effing thing. I dont wanna see just a sentinel head rolling out of the shadows. I want to see SENTINELS!!! I want to see Avengers-like action scenes in this movie or better, or this will be another fail in my book.

I really wish they would do Storm justice in the movie universe.  She is a badass character that deserves a spotlight, and get someone other than Halle Berry who can pull off an African Goddess.

Yeah violator and they better be giant-motherfucking- robots too.

Too much.  Seriously, worked in a comic, but I don't have faith in Singer adapting this for the screen.  Too many mutants.  I was hoping First Class would not link up to the crappy X-Men films.  I'd assume, they all get killed in the future.  The old guard, if it follows the comic.

BTW, how the hell does Professor X not recognize Wolverine when he first comes to the school?

Wiseguy 12/19/2012 9:43:42 AM

Somebody must've put an adamantium bullet in his head too.

My one big hope is that somehow this resets the entire X movieverse to something closer to the comics. I don't expect this to happen but one can hope
