Viz Media has added a few new dates via the Right Stuf website for fans to look out for come July and August of this year, which now includes the street date for the first volume of Vampire Knight. Note that their single volume releases are pricing a little differently as Vampire Knight is down to 19.97 while Naruto and Bleach remain at the 24.94 they've been since inception...

No Monster makes me sad .
I asked on their Facebook Q&A status the other day about it and was told to check their monster site. Didn't say jack.

The thing is Monster is everywhere but on dvd. Hulu, youtube just added 10 more episodes now there is 35 up, psn has done the same. Itunes is on like 55, funimation has it on demand and their channel. So what's the problem?

That's a bummer. I've heard Viz is notorious for not completing their dvd releases. I'll be real sad if that's the case here.

I'd rather not be dependent on those solutions? I'd like to own a copy so I can watch it anytime and when not connected to the internet? Or people in my family who like to watch but don't stream?

Damn Chris. I thought you just disliked buying DVDs because you have so few. ;P
The real question is why does VIZ think they will get money from all these other sources rather that from DVD sales. Do they have a plan or are they being held up by the TV deal? Are these other ways making money or are the underpants gnomes in charge of the business plan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-eak9Jz3_k&feature=related)?

Sorry when I said " What's the problem" I was refering to viz in why release it everywhere but dvd. I wonder if the manga entertanment tv deal is holding them up.

Maybe they are just being Viz.
But really, who wants to get a product on the shelf to maximize TV exposure anyway...

That, right there is what I don't like about streaming. I want it on my tv. I want it on my shelf. I want to be able to watch it again 10 years from now. Stream's don't give you a permanent archival version, and nothing is permanent on the internet [then there's also computers dying off]. I want to own it, and collect it, and I want the real thing.
Will probably be checking out Vampire Knight, since I liked the price.
