Today marks the day when Piccolo Daimo, having been freed by Pilaf and spending his time acquiring the Dragon Balls so he could return to his youthful and powerful form, declared that it forever forth shall be known as Piccolo Daimo Day. May 9th is when the great king overturned King Castle and evicted its occupant and began his reign over the world...

So the mission to make it so all 365(6) days of the year are each a holiday continues?

To be fair sometimes I pass on the celebration. Ignore the fact that in some cases, I don't know the birth date and others I completely forget which day it's on.
There's also the matter of some people having birthdays on the same day. Like Nagisa (Sketchbook) and the Hiiragi Twins (Lucky Star).

In some way, shape or form, it is slowly happening.

I thought I'd do something a little fun. Of course, if anyone knows of any other dates that would be fun to play with, let me know. :)

It's a bit far off, but there is the July 7th thing. Not only is it the date of the Tanabata festival, it's also the birthday of anime girls mentioned earlier including Hiiragi Tsukasa and Hiiragi Kagami.
In my case, I need to remember to celebrate May 17th since that's the birthday of Torikai Hazuki (Sketchbook) who I mainly think of as the girl with hats that tries to save money. I started considering her that especially after episode
Oh, speaking of Lucky Star there's Konata on May 28th.
Of course the key with any anime related date is familiarity and enjoyment levels of the one(s) involved with the said date.

Well, for Tenchi fans, there's Startica... although AFAIK, there isn't a firm fixed date for it. In the past, I've recognized June 19th as Startica.

To be fair, Piccolo Daimao coughed up his own children, so it's appropriate that "his" day falls on May 9th alongside that... less important holiday. :)
