It seems like a suitable cover for the series. I will hold off on this series until everything is released. Even then I may or may not get it.

It's not. It's reverse harem (lots of pretty boys, just one girl), but there's no boys love going on anywhere in the series proper.

Not thrilled with singles, but still definitely getting this.

So the boys of the Night Class are featured on volume 2. I'll still just stick with manga only.

Yeah, just because you got a bunch of bishonen guys standing close to one another does not automatically equate yaoi. Shojo does this all the time, but it's only played for laughs most of the time.

Anyway, pass for me, I can wait for the boxset release.

This cover makes it look like a yaoi series. I think I`ll pass,and wait until a complete collection is solicited.

It's an ok cover, feels a little bit crowded though. I'll probably get it since I don't want to take the chance if Viz won't make a complete.

I'll wait for the sets to come out. Nice cover.

Yeah, blah cover for me since I'm all about the cute girls and graphical diversity but I guess the minimalist approach is okay. C- if I were grading it. Needs some posing variety badly.

An uninspiring cover to say the least.

This series does interest me but I'll be waiting either for a set or a sale... whichever comes first.

There is still hope that the rest of Monster will eventually be released. Sadly, there is still no news on this front. We may not hear anything (if at all) until the likes of AX and SDCC.

it's not that Viz chooses to cancel releases. They did poor money into acquiring a license. bottom line is it's really the consumers making them cancel the releases. Prince of Tennis and many other series are being dropped because the cost to produce and distribute them is not being covered by sales. it's a terrible fact of business, but they can't keep pumping out releases because of the fans want it.
i think vampire knight brand is strong enough for them to finish the release, there has to be a reason they took the singles release route like Bleach and Naruto while every other release is a collection. so currently Viz has faith that its sales will be strong, won't know till it is released. but then again, i can't count how many times i walk into an anime store now without someone mentioning to me or another person what anime/manga they read or saw online and that's why they don't buy anymore.

strider175 points out the whole costs versus profit bit, though I personally doubt that VIZ is making their decisions strictly on the actual economic lines. They have to answer to the sometimes unrealistic expectations of their Japanese parent companies. Still, if the sales aren't good enough for singles, they won't do a set. Heck, even if the sales are reasonably good, they still might not do a set because the sales aren't as good as they wanted or thought they should have been.

I'm not going to tell anyone how to spend their money. It didn't work in the past and I doubt it'll work now. I'm just suggesting if you actually want this show on DVD, you might want to buy it now rather than just assume a set will come in the future because VIZ isn't as reliable as some of the other companies.

There probably won't be any problem since vampires are kinda in vogue right now but still.

@ WTK: I'll hope for the best but I expect Monster is just screwed.

I hope Monster comes eventually, but it would be nice if they changed the box format. At this rate Monster will take up the space of 15 DVDs when it is fully released. :p

We know they have the whole series dubbed since it is/was(?) on TV. Cancelling the rest of the DVDs would crush a little portion of my soul.

I'm waiting for the box set myself. And it would be nice if there was some news on Monster, they have up to season four released on itunes.
