So this release is coming after all. Depending the specs, I may double dip. As for the preliminary cover art, it definitely works for me.

That's pretty weird, why doesn't the second season have a dub? I don't usually care for dubs but it is pretty weird to have a complete series with one disc in English but the next in Japanese...

Not that I care though since I am not buying this.

The cover art is fine. In any case, I'll pass on this since I already have previous collections.

The same thing is going on with the new boxsets of Fist of the North Star. The first has an english dub but I think thats it. Anyway this is definitely not my thing so I think I'll pass.

That's pretty weird, why doesn't the second season have a dub?

The first season was licensed by ADV, who decided to dub it. Keep in mind they had no idea how well or rather poorly the series was going to do. They also were dubbing most of their shows.

ADV never bothered to license the second season. The likely scenario is the first season did not do well enough for them to justify licensing it. Hard to say if being able to afford to dub it was a requirement or if they would have considered sub-only.

Nozomi came to the conclusion to compromise. They'd license the second season so that people could have a chance to own it. However to keep costs down, they essentially dropped the idea of dubbing it.

It's a nice cover, but I don't really have any interest in the show.

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT KOGAL!

[edit] But, seriously people, check out this show... it is truly surprisingly endearing, and spastic enough to keep the attention of even the most diehard ADHD sufferers...

Obviously, not everything will be for everybody... but at least you gave it a chance, which is all I'm asking :)

I let this slip through my fingers the first time around, I won't let it get away this time.

Thanks for the second chance Nozomi!

Ironically, I wound up with two copies of the originals. Back then I bought shoujo shows as released to support them. Then I picked up another copy from sales since it seemed that ADV was in trouble and after bailing on S2, S1 was at risk during the transition.

Unfortunately, since the packaging is too extra economy for my tastes, this will be a rare TRSI release that I pass on.

I second this. It's much better and deeper than a lot of fans will give it credit for. It deserves a chance.

Thirded. Fourthed. And so forth.

One of the rare anime where I gave both the anime and the manga, the highest possible rating of 10.0 out 10.0 stars. But if you think you might be interested in the manga, you need to grab it while you still can since CMX is now out of business.

Yes, yes, yes. The manga is outstanding, as well. The anime and manga are rather similar... maybe a few different side-characters and character attributes here and there, but that's it... and the manga has a real conclusive ending for the series that really makes it worth it, IMO.

This actually pretty nice now with the 3D view. Now the question is what packaging would be utilize for this complete collection.

Looking pretty good to me - Season 1 slipped through my fingers a while ago, but this way, I'll be able to pick the entire series in one fell swoop.

The packaging has been confirmed to be the same as the recent MB's Tekkaman Blade boxset. MB calls it a LiteBox though.

It's officially known as 30mm - 10/ONE Overlap™ (http://www.scanavo.com/overlap_30mm_10_one.asp).

Still less evil than the Stackpak, so it's OK by me.
