Why does the interior & incidental art look better than the whiteout blizzard of the front matter? Given a choice between simplicity & color or chaos on whitespace, go for the simple colors...

I've already ordered it sight unseen, but it's a damn good thing they aren't trying to sell it in B&M stores.

The main cover is far too busy, and too messy compared even to the mediocre first main cover.

But cor, the case covers are brill. In fact, the second one is my fave from the Japanese covers, and I almost bought it purely for the cover.

I wouldn't hold my breath. If they treat these anything like their video game releases, we'll be lucky to even see a re-release.

Anyway, it looks nice. My only complaint is that I wish there was a more clear theme between the box art of this and the first set.

The cover isn't perfect, but it works well enough for me. It's nice that the secondary characters are getting an appearance.

I think I like the packaging overall in this set as opposed to the packaging on the first one. Ryuuji's mom is hot, so I don't mind if she sticks out. Will definitely pre-order this if I wind up liking what I see on the first set of episodes.

I like it. Both covers used were the same as the R2 box, just with the light blue circles added (and toradora text). I think they'll look really nice sitting side by side if you have them facing out. Or if you think of it like a complete boxset this being the back and the 2 sepia sides "stuck" together.

NISA is learning. For the first set, everyone clammered "What about the extras?! Why aren't they listed?!" And now they've just listed them right away.

Is this really the same as an R2 cover? It seems like it might be a few different ones combined. Looks fine either way, though. The disc cover with Taiga getting her hair done by Ami is cute.

You know what I would've loved as an extra, the two Taiga nendoroids. The bathing suit Taiga came with the PSP Toradora LE game and the School Uniform and tiger ears/tail that came with Cross of Venus DS game. Would've been awesome if one would have come with each LE set.

The problem is, if they re-released them in any form they'd be violating the limited-edition-ness they had previously. Though they could just do an alternate version (white school swimsuit sounds good).

Sidebar: In the current state of the anime industry, it is perplexing to me that some folks are still in the mindset of "waiting for a complete collection" or "waiting for a dub" or "waiting for a Blu-Ray", with little to no evidence that any of these will actually ever occur. Especially from a company that is new to the US market.

Like this, but in the future, I really wish they'd put the spine logo opposite the disc content along the long side, and not on the short side opposite the opening. Or they could put it in both places. This will be standing tall on my dvd shelf, not sticking out lengthwise.
