I really like the looks of this cover. I think it's really nicely laid out. I already have this pre-ordered with the current studio sale. I'm looking forward to it.

The cover is actually pretty nice for the most part. Simple, but it works.

The feathers look cool but I don't think the border works on this one. It would look cooler if centered imo.

I love the image in the center, though I'm not sold on the border yet. I still really like it, and hope it looks better when posted in 3D.

I love this cover. Makes the show seem very elegant. Will be buying this...

Meh, I really dislike that "Letters from the Departed" stamp. I think it looks a little cheesy along with the other stamp in the left corner. But I like the central image enough, so it works.

FWIW, the stamp and postmark outlines were present in the various R2J releases. Sentai just added English wordings on them.

I think this works well. It's a very simple and classy cover. I think the black border helps in reinforcing the postage stamp motif found thoughout the cover, after all she is a mail carrier...of THE DEAD!!!
And the added splashes of blood gives it a nice contrast while also giving a hint that there's more to our protaganist than meets the eye.

I actually like the old preliminary cover for the first volume of the Bandai Visual release better, but this isn't half-bad.

The cover's not outstanding, but it's not bad either. I'll be buying this. I suppose that I should hurry up and order from TRSI soon.

That Vol.1 cover art looks nice. However I think it works better as a single volume cover. Here is the cover (http://www.rightstuf.com/i/budh0153) in question.

Okay...kinda sounds like Hell Girl, but with a chance of going north instead of south...am I far off?

I watched the first 2 episodes a while back and enjoyed the show very much. I may hold off on purchasing though because I'm starting to do a bit of an 80s - 90s binge.

Weider mit das Blut... I don't know this show - is the blood-splatters justified by a level of violence? I thought this was some sort of moe anime.

Violence and moe are not mutually exclusive.

Though I don't have any idea either, for various reasons I never got around to watching this.

There are violent scenes in this anime but it's not particularly bloody or gory.

It's more psychological than physical in terms of its impact.

There's plenty of light hearted humor too, and melodrama here and there... It's a tapestry.

The blood splatters have to do with a certain plot element that's quite specific.

The blood is justified. I watched the title. The dead are not always happy and the survivors are being held accountable.

I'm surprised at the rating it got (TV PG).

Yeah, it's a show that deals with death, sometimes violent death. It's no gore fest, but having a blood stain is quite representative of the show.

Great anime.

Watched the fansub.

I'm very happy to see it getting an official release!

I will buy this.

The cover is real nice too.

Larry Koteff's designs are have always been great!

I haven't seen a "Postal" theme since the original japanese Please Teacher art!

I'm glad you posted this case art!

Back cover confirms that they also have the Picture Dramas. Even if they hadn't got them I'd be buying the series anyway but Sentai gets extra points for getting them since they're cute and funny.

Already got it pre-ordered on RightStuf and that cover makes me happy to get it.

Love Shigofumi so must get this.
I like the cover and that they used black and not a bright colour.

Got this today. I have no real complaints. Compared the the R2 Emotion the Best release, it's obviously a little bitrate starved: 2 DVDs vs 3 DVDs, there's more artifacting in scenes with a lot of motion, but this show doesn't have much of that. On the other hand it has much less EE than the R2. The R2 has A LOT of EE, and it's obviously there all the time. So I think I actually prefer to watch this release, setting aside the issue of subs - the translation is by Quarkboy, so I expect them to be good.

*sigh* hate having to ask this but the reviewer neglected to mention anything about the packaging at all, other than the artwork (Fail).

Gotta ask because of the company that released this: Please tell me this isn't a stackpack. I actually had the fansubs for this sitting around for a while but never watched them. I heard good things and its on sale right now. FIgure i may as well pick it up, assuming its not a stackpack. I would assume no since its only a couple disks

It's 12 episodes on two discs, so of course it's not a stackpack because Sentai only use stackpacks for collections which have 4 (or more) discs.

So far 3-disc release hasn't been released by anyone with the exception of that one OOP ADV Elfen Lied re-release (the 2nd one).

You seriously have a problem man... Btw fansubs have 0 packaging.

Well, you should. Arai Satomi gets to voice one of a mutual lesbian pair in this one.

It maintains a very good balance between those differing elements. Quite a tapestry indeed.

I'm really happy that this release has something that looks like a substantive extra (made me all the more want to spring for this collection in the ongoing RS sale, which I did). I'll be curious to check those picture dramas out when I get the DVD.
