About Demonbane,
delays due to slipcase dvd and artbook
fixing translations
nitro reworking game engine for compatibility
no precise date yet but this summer
no firm word for anything else from Ntiro+
but it would be dependent on how Demonbane does.

The new game from JAST.
Tenkuu no Yumina from the makers of Princess Waltz within the year.

Looking forward to Demonbane; Tenkuu no Yumina looks interestng as well.

Edit: Deus Machina Demonbane is the first in the series right? I just assumed JAST would have the first VN, but you know what they say about assuming...

By Escalation, does JAST mean THIS Escalation (http://www.rollingstar.jp/escalation/index.html)?!?! (link NSFW!!!) :blush1:

No, it will have those but those weren't the issue given for the delay
also, nitro+ was keen on remaking the game engine because they wanted it to be compatible with vista and win7 and our thought is that we rather do it right... that's why it has taken so long.

Before the official line on Demonbane was that there wouldn't be any censorship/CG changes...now it's that they'll announce the number of changes before hand. Hrmm.

I'm certain I heard zero changes at the panel.

I think that might be the Escalation talked about. After the panel I think he said it was something that would be packaged with two other titles & retail for $24.95.

Should probably be more clear, those are meant to be two separate thoughts. One, the primary point they were trying to reiterate is they would provide advance notice. The second that was thrown in was nothing is being touched in Demonbane. (I notice that it somehow got cut off. Going to fix that.)

Oh, ok, sorry for misreading that.

So Demonbane sometime this year. Otherwise, nothing of interest for me, but I expected that. I just hope the story is as good as I've heard (given this will be the first JAST game I've played). I'm glad the packaging will be better than normal.

I can certianly sympathise with how hard it must be for JAST to convince eroge companies to release overseas. On the other hand, there is something to said for connections, since Circus has been able to convince several to try it.

Thanks. I know there was an issue with Family Project being censored last year. No need to start a panic prematurely.

It's unfortunate to read about the delay, but I'm glad that they're really taking the time to polish Demonbane. Totally can't wait for this one...

Nice to see more news on Demonbane, and I'm glad that it's getting special attention.

Tenkuu no Yumina looks like an interesting game, and the RPG aspects have my attention.

There's only one problem: They said the same thing nearly two and a half years ago when they censored X-Change 3. They said they'd give an "advance notice" for future edits, but they censored Family Project at the very last minute without giving any warning anyways, and they tried to skirt the issue by pushing the "deep story" aspect of the game.

I wouldn't put my trust in them if I were you, because they can sneak in last-minute changes at the drop of a hat if they saw fit, regardless of prior promises. They aren't obliged to warn anyone if they know everybody is going to buy a game anyways. If they find the game to have a "good" story, and they do a double take on its content, they'll see fit to censor it regardless.

That's why I never preorder any games from them. The fact that they even give themselves the option of editing titles on a "case-by-case" basis (instead of looking through the content before licensing a title) is a major shitstain on their business practices if you ask me.

There's a few RollingStar games on DLsite including two "Escalation" games:

While the site is English, the games aren't though.
