As expected, it matches with the first season. Just like the DVD set, there isn't much to like about this cover. Everything feels out of place for me. Even though I have the ADV singles with artbox, I may double dip on this.

The cover is a bit of a mess and I don't like the border. But I will probably grab this at some point, just so I have all of FMP on bluray. Though I keep getting the feeling that I will probably just watch the old ADV discs. For some reason, it just wouldn't seem right watching FMP or Fomoffu without the ADV logo at the beginning.

I will likely be buying. I can't imagine this "remaster" looking worse than the terrible looking ADV release. But then again, it is Funimation.

I wonder if they'll re-release TSR to match the other two. In any case, I'll be picking all of them up on BD.

Decent cover, but nothing special. Either way, I'll be getting the whole series on Blu-ray.

I really like this cover. I'll definitely be getting this. Can't wait to have all of Full Metal Panic on blu ray.

This is the ugliest cover art I've planned on buying.

Pretty much every upscale Funimation has put out since Ouran High School Host Club has been miles better than their older upscales. So you can pretty much bank on this looking way better than the ADV release.

Anyone know if there is some back cover art for this? I'd like to know if the tracks are in Dolby TrueHD or not.

As far as I know, it hasn't shipped out from online retailers like TRSI and RACS. So until someone receives their copy, we probably won't know.

Just got my copy today. For those interested. The packaging is a disappointment as it does not match the other two series. It is a standard blu-ray disc with a slipcover. The artwork is exactly the same as the slipcover and the inside artwork is nothing special. This wont look good next to the others on my shelf. This is just my issues with the inconsistency with funis blu-ray releases compared to their dvds which seem to get better packages and more artwork.

Cool. I don't think my copy has shipped yet. Maybe because it is in a separate order from my Eden of the east BD set. Yet I ordered it long before Eden. Oh well. :P

That seems be becoming more common place now. The DVD counterpart just seem to get more artwork. It's rather unfortunate. Regardless I double dipped on this not because of artwork.

Yeah I mean seeing as we are shelling out around 5-10 dollars or more for Blu-Ray over DVD you'd think we could get a little more in terms of artwork but oh well. Personally I'd like have more bonus content on the BD to warrant the higher price than snazzier artwork but that's just me.

I guess it's about the disc content improvement. It does make you wonder if the additional artwork would cost more to them on the BD releases.

My copy finally shipped. :) I guess RightStuf waited to ship it with 20th Century Boys vol. 11. Yay!

Can someone commend on the video/audio quality of the blu ray?

I already own the dvd set of this, but if it is an improvement I would not mind getting it again.
I love this season.

That's what the thread about it in the Blu-ray forum is for (http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=96883).
