View Full Version : any way to find missing BLAME! volumes?

I recently got several volumes of Blame! from the TRSI bargain bin before realizing that v1, 4, and 6 are virtually impossible to find at reasonable prices. Everywhere I look I see volume 6 going for $120 for some insane reason.

If anyone can suggest a site where I can get these volumes for normal prices I would appreciate it.

Incidentally, does anyone have any idea why those volumes are so insanely priced?

You can try searching using BookFinder.com (http://www.bookfinder.com/) (the reason(s) why (http://www.bookfinder.com/about/booksellers/)).

You can try searching using BookFinder.com (http://www.bookfinder.com/) (the reason(s) why (http://www.bookfinder.com/about/booksellers/)).

The flip side is that sellers can and do use the same aggregators. One reason why you tend to find scarce volumes at the same ridiculously high prices on the major sites.

One suggestion is to sign up to be notified when the volume you are looking for becomes available. Takes patience but can pay off. I've gotten a few scarce volumes from Half.com that way including Please Teacher V2. But you have to move fast, they do tend to sell really fast.

Another suggestion is to track down a service or software that will search eBay looking for auctions that might have the item you are looking for but mis-labeled or mis-spelled or part of a lot. Happens more often than you might think. But also a bit of a gamble sometimes.

Last but not least, check Amazon.ca and other sites in CA. Might be cheaper to import and releases are usually for all of North America not just USA.

Hope that helps.

True, but since BookFinder.com searches virtually all of them, they are usually easily detectable because the sellers use the same description for each aggregator—and prices do differ between the aggregators, presumably because the fees differ.
