I kind of like this cover. It's works for me and the colors seem to blend well enough. This will be maybe purchase for me since I pass on the half season sets.

Nice. One of the only artwork of Blassreiter that I've seen and liked. I probably won't get it though.

Very nice cover, which is dissapointing that FUNi spent so much time making it nice, because the show is garbage IMO.

Great cover, but I already have both the halves, and this doesn't have anything new (it's probably even the same discs, right?), so I won't be getting it.

Not really belonging in this thread...but I would expect one coming soon (perhaps as early as December or January).

I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't fond of the CG designed characters/monsters. Other than that, it was an okay show.

Yeah, I'd agree that that's it's weak point, but otherwise, it's pretty cool.

Yeah I never cared for CG parts in anime but other than that the show was actually good. Alot of sad moments too! :cry:

Maybe I owe this series another chance. I really do like the cover art, but I was never able to make it pass the first episode. Like others have said it was because of the crappy CG. It totally ruined the experiance for me, but maybe it gets better.

I like it. I also don't have many blue spines on the DVD shelf (unlike the almost literally "blu" shelf) so some variety there.
Edit: Speaking of blu, might still hold off on such an action-oriented series just in case it goes to blu-ray.
Last edit: decided to go for this new box set after all, give Funi a sale at release...and I like that cover

It starts off pretty good and then gets pretty sad. The first half of the show was awesome, the second half a little weird and a lot sad, the ending pitiful.

tried looking up their nice package stuff but they only have them for the part 1 edition. Im crawling Amazon and this is really cheap for part 1 and part 2.. the thing is i really like the artwork for this complete collection! Im just looking for some clarification on what this is. Is it a litebox with slipcover or what? I dont see the corners or edge so im guessing maybe litebox with a slip cover?
One other thing i noticed is the runtime doesn't match. Its listed as
580 minutes runtime
while if you add up the part 1 and part 2 release runtimes you get:
576
just wondering where that 4 minute discrepancy is from. Looking at the extras it seems to have the same amount. While the price is right for the part 1+2 (<20 bucks) The artwork on this one really has me kinda leaning to just waiting for a good price on it >_<

The complete collection is a thinpack. The discs will be the same as the sets so i wouldn't worry about the runtime.

As far as I know, the discs are the same. Therefore there is no content difference.
