Love it. The colors blend so well together. I will most likely be pre-ordering this when listed at TRSI.

It is, that's where all of that info came from.

It looks nice, but not my type of anime.
One more group packaging shot added to the first post...

This looks really good. With the way NIS is packaging their titles they could probably get me to buy a show I absolutely hate.

I really am tempted to buy shows I don't even care about from NISA, just because of their packaging and presentation. But I feel in the end that'd be a bad idea, as encouraging them to "release more shows in a nice way" isn't quite as useful to me as encouraging them to "release more shows I like in a nice way."

Another pretty package, I'll give them that. Still, I'd have to imagine I'm not the only one not buying shows (not this one, but the other ones) as a result of only doing it this way. Not worth the extra cost, unless it's a show I really care about.
Basically, license School Days or Kaiba. Or School Days. Somebody license School Days right now, I'll buy it 10 times. (no I won't, I'm lying, but I will buy it once. Twice max.) I've never even heard of this show, School Days is at least kind of well known because everybody on the internet already knows how it ends, thus killing any interest most people might have in the series.

But...there is no extra cost. It's the same MSRP ($59.99) as a Funimation cour-set.

Even though everything looks really nice, I'm not sure I want to pick this up. Still, nice job NIS!

Coo! That's a really spiffy-looking set. Even though I know little of of the show, I'm at least tempted to find out more about it after seeing the packaging and such. Fancy covers tend to have that effect on me.
Oh, and once again, Coo.

I'm too lazy to do it again, but I looked around rightstuf when Persona and Toradora came out, and it seemed like those sets were almost universally more expensive than other sets with similar episode counts. Not a lot more expensive, but more expensive enough.

Nice looking packaging, but I'm really not interested in the show. I'll be very interested to see what shows NIS America will license next, though.

It depends on what you are comparing them too. Funimation has several catalog titles that are several years old and have been repriced several times over the years (just look at the SAVE editions). However, if you compare the sets (http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/gaBc9UGmqPMETxl2ny/browse/item/89494/4/0/0) to something that's newer from Funimation (such as Corpse Princess (http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/gaBc9UGmqPMETxl2ny/browse/item/88535/4/0/0)), then you'll see what we're talking about.
Back on topic, I really like the effort that NISA has put into the packaging. Very nice!

I think the issue with NISA titles isn't the MSRP. As your example shows the MSRP is just fine. The problem however lies in the fact that discounts for NISA titles are to put it bluntly more limited. Which leads to the prices in a sense being higher even though the MSRP was the same.

Something like that. Maybe I've just been spoiled by things like Clannad instantly being on sale for $23.99 for 13 episodes. I've been off my anime buying kick for some time, so I can't think of any other examples.
Listing for Our Home's Fox Deity is now @ NIS America Online Store (http://store.nisamerica.com/Our-Homes-Fox-Deity-NISA-Special). It also includes:
Free NISA Online Store Exclusive Insert
Laminated, double-sided artwork in full color!
Fits into the art book as an additional page

Ah I'd missed the cover art for this the first time around. Looks very nice. I'll grab it when part 2 is solicited.
As much as I like NISA releases (just got part 1 of toradora and persona in the mail), I already get constantly shafted by either the exchange rate or VAT.
This NISA store exlusive is something I don't like at all. Posters are one thing, but this I'd actually like to have.

I was actually hoping it would just be something small like a poster, to be honest. I hate NISA Store's shipping prices... but, if it's worth it (and that extra piece of art did it for me!) then I will get it off there. I also had a $5 off coupon from previous purchauses, so it definately helped on shipping.

Decided to break down and buy this. I really liked the first episode and a half I saw of it and the artwork and packaging looks fantastic. I loved the Toradora sets so if this looks half as nice as those, I wil be pleased.

Just got my copy in, skipping through It the video quality is excellent, haven't tossed It in my PS3 to check it out upscaled yet, but so far looking good.

I hope mine comes in soon! Made a late order because I wasn't sure if I wanted to get it right away or not. Well, looks like NISA billed me already, so I guess it'll be shipped out soon (hope I won't be too late in getting the extra art page!)

My copy just arrived from Right Stuf today. Kind of distressed to see one corner of the box crushed (like it had a hard fall on that corner), but other than that, the package looked really nice, as expected. Now I just need to pop it in the player!
*Looks at the pile of discs sitting next to the the DVD player*
...Eventually!
GHardin sorry to hear your corner got crushed. My Toradora set 1 had a crushed corner as well and Persona had a crease on the bottom of the box (mind you the boxes are sturdy and TRSI packs damn well, but I guess not well enough). I'm rather distressed since these are such nice (and pricey) releases.
Curious has anyone else had their boxes damaged during transit?

My copy of Deity just arrived yesterday and I can thankfully say that upon inspection, it looks to be completely damage free. I ordered mine from Right Stuf for anyone curious...

Virtually all of mine NISA releases comes perfectly fine. There was one that had a minor corner dent that was probably received that way by TRSI.

That's pretty much the case for me. The Toradora boxes came fine, but this one was the only one that had a ding in it. My guess is that it was received that way...not even the postal working dropping it on the way to the front door could have done that much damage, with as much protection as it had.

With such an elaborate and massive box, it's almost asking for a corner dent. Both my Toradora boxes were fine (maybe since I have a very easy-going and friendly mailperson?).

I am lucky as well my 4 artboxes are in mint condition.
