As expected, it's the same artwork as the DVD release. It works for me. I will be getting this whenever the next studio sale rolls around.

From the back cover, it appears the "Extras" are the same as the ones on the first BR set, unless I'm reading something wrong. I like the cover, more so than the first set, and here's to hoping they use the TV broadcast OP/ED for the second set.

Dumb question for anybody who pre-ordered vl.1. It didn't ship early, did it? I know sometimes stuff ships a week or two ahead of schedule. I'm just trying to gauge the likelihood of the second set shipping early; as I'm enjoying the show more than I thought I would and I don't feel like waiting forever.

Also, I hope rightstuf lowers the price on the second set to the $40s again; c'mon what's up with that. The first set is still going for the sale price. I don't want to have to take my business elsewhere, but I'm not made of money

The DVD collection shipped a couple weeks early. The Bluray set shipped a few days after that, so yes it did ship early. It just wasn't as early as most Sentai DVD sets tend to be.

It's not quite a few days. DVD set started to ship on 8/31 via TRSI. BD set didn't start to ship until 9/20.

The mentioned dates were via TRSI. Generally TRSI tend to offer the earliest ship dates to Sentai releases. The BD releases are getting released very close to actual street date. Its BD counterpart (if there is one) still can be shipped up to 3 weeks early.

I know Amazon didn't ship out Xam'd until a day or two after the street date. Right Stuf of course had them first, as they are also Sentai's warehouse provider. Whoever is replicating Sentai's blurays seems to take longer to get them out than their DVDs, so many other sites don't get them until the street date (or a little after.)

My recommendation would be either waiting for the next TRSI studio sale or DeepDiscount's fall sale. The next TRSI studio sale should either later this month or early next month.

The annoying part is that part.1 is still on sale (along with part.1 of Big O that I just bought for their full price, after trying to stake out a sale price for like a year and a half). Why would part.1 still be on sale, but not part 2. It's pretty annoying. In my experience with the site, usually stuff is a little cheaper before it comes out rather than immediately after (or the same price, but not more expensive).

Also, was that patience remark a crack at the PS3's load times. Because the PS3 sure does have some load times.

Yeah, I also noticed (and was slightly annoyed at) the price increase for v2, but oh well. I guess I'll just try to catch it during the sale.

I read this thread and had to register so i could post...

I saw a couple of nasty posts about Haru...the very cool girl that loves Akiyuki truly and very loyally from the start..i am VERY glad she is on the cover..she is a much better realized and realistic character than that dumb sky girl who is featured as a lure to people who are into super girl types... Haru is a much warmer and more human person and is what Aki Yuki needs to anchor him after he has been attacked and polluted by the alien bio technology. I find the humanform tech disgusting and am afraid that by the end of the series it will be made out to be something decent.... the japanese tendency to venerate robots and alien tech is a bit strange and i am guessing is a offshoot of the terrors of radiation poisoning that the War brought....they are certainly misguided about it at times. I also fear that Haru will be downgraded...she has deserved top billing from the start of the series but i have learned the hard way that Anime writers often like to bash the nice girl and try to force the weird ones down our throats.

So i am very glad to see Haru on the cover and she deserves it..and deserves to get the guy...but as i am only half way thru the series and going slow, i have my fears and doubts from all the humanform loving that is going on in the writing. If it goes wrong as i suspect it may, i can throw away the later episodes and just keep the good ones and chalk it up to the dumbness of anime which at times goes terribly wrong when it would have been so easy to give a happy and nice ending.

So here is a cheer for Haru and I hope we get to see MUCH more of her and far less of sky girl who deserves to disappear and get killed by one of the human forms that she tries to make us like.

Very nice, i am very glad to see Haru featured so prominently. Nice Cover..tho I would have chosen some of the nicer more scenic backgrounds as the Xam'd Monster form is just one aspect of the story. And I can live with being disappointed and as I said I have learned the hard way that Anime writers often show very bad judgement and taste in how they match up main characters....often making the wrong choice for the wrong reasons to the point that it seems that they enjoy tormenting and abusing their characters to make a story sensational. I know who should be with who from the way the story starts and if skygirl ends up being the winner well then i will just toss out all the episodes that she is in and keep the Haru ones ...the viewer always has the last word :)
