I'm glad we didn't have to wait long for each release of Gantz. We have some color artwork in this issue. This volume is essentially the continuation of the fight from last volume. Basically, this means that while it is short on dialogue and plot movement, it is full of great action artwork taking up many pages. One example of the amazing artwork is chapter 150 where we see Kurono escaping in slow motion from a fireball.
I have to say that this is one of the least annoying crews Kurono is stuck with. After they realize what is going on, they start to treat him like a hero. This volume lacks Tae and is probably the first volume that didn't have any detailed nudity.:anger200: I'm wondering though - the naked girl we see at the beginning of almost every chapter in this volume - is that supposed to be Reika?

Anyone else got this volume yet?

That was a rather speedy release. I wasn't expecting volume 13 until late next month.

Some great action in this volume. Crazy shit. I'm impressed with Kurono's transformation from selfish, self-obsessed, homone-crazed moron to someone who puts the wellbeing of others before his own, is devoted to one girl (probably the only flat-chested female in the Gantz universe to boot), and who actually commands some respect from other players. Let's hope the adulation doesn't go to his head...

And, yes, I believe it is Reika who Oku has taken to drawing on the chapter title pages. She appeared a few times in the previous volume as well :nosebleed:

Whoo!! This.

Kurono actually ends up being one of the most dynamic characters in manga, who goes from being a complete jerk loser to a really awesome hero and practically normal person! This is why everyone who hated the GANTZ anime should read the GANTZ manga. Because all of the character development essentially occurs after the anime ended.
