The theme seems to match with the singles. It's kind of weird to see just the ear of someone of the left. I will be passing on this as I'm going with singles and R4 artbox.

Ooh, I approve of the cute shot of Yuki! :) And if we have to pick between either Zero or Kaname, I definitely prefer Zero, though both should really be there.

Anyway, definitely picking this up.

I'm definitely not buying any set with a flipper. Oh well, at least all three singles are currently available on Amazon for $10.49, which is the option I'll be going with, assuming that price is still good when I'm ready to order.

It shouldn't, since a double-sided disc is essentially the same as two single-sided discs glued together. (Yes, yes, I know, but this is a not-confusing way to explain it.)

One would assume that the reason for doing this is because it's somehow a cost-saving measure, but I don't know offhand what the difference in per-unit production costs are for one flipper disc (specifically, one DVD-10 disc) versus two regular discs (specifically, two DVD-5 discs).

If the packaging made it difficult to remove, I'd be hesitant to buy a flipper disc since I could easily scratch the disc, but they've got it in a way that's removable-friendly. So flipper discs is fine with me, still picking this up.

Thanks for the reply. If the quality of the episodes isn't impacted by the flipper, then I'll continue with my plans to pick up this version rather than buy the singles. Vampire Knight is a mid-level anime for me where cost becomes a larger factor in my buying decision.

wow.. just.. wow, double sided disks? in this day and age? REALLY? Im glad i found this out i was thinking of getting this, but no dice. Theyre 9 bucks a pop right now i think i'll just buy the individual volumes instead. I wanted a consise boxset, but double sided + the cheap-o 'green' cases mean no way in hell would i buy this
