I like this new cover versus the old ADV cover (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51TPC6A25GL._SL500_AA300_.jpg). It just stands out more for me. I own the ADV boxset. I probably won't be double dipping. It will be interesting to see if this release has any substantial upgrade over the ADV release.

Definitely looks better than the old ADV covers. It almost gives me the feeling that it's the poster art for an old 70s martial arts movie.

Still, great to see that Freeman wasn't forgotten by Discotek and I'll be getting this release.

Certainly looks much better than the old ADV covers that I remember seeing.

VERY nice cover. Really highlights Ikegami's art style there. I'm so torn on this release. I LOVE Crying Freeman and want to support DiscoTek, but I just can't justify double dipping on the new release unless it has some amazing new extras...

"Cartoon by Ryoichi Ikegami" ? He was the original illustrator on the comic but he did the whole cartoon? Damn that is impressive.

Cannot wait to buy this. Although I like the covers ADV used more, this is still nice.

Just as an update TRSI shipped my order yesterday, so Freeman will be released this week with no delays.

Well considering how Fist TV Set 1 had that unfortunate delay and even Set 2 took a couple of days after its release date for it finally get to TRSI, I'm certainly amazed that Freeman got shipped before the release date.

The old ADV cover had Emi, naked, wearing glasses, & charging holding a katana. This new one is inferior to that, through her absence.
