Kämpfer: Complete Collection due out on 1/18/11.
Contains episodes 1-12.
Special Features: Clean Opening Animation, Clean Closing Animation, Amazing Bowel Familiars.
Spoken Languages: Japanese, English subtitles.
[If finalized], the cover seems all right. It's nothing too spectacular. It kind has the feel of the R2J cover arts. I have this already pre-ordered.
EDIT: The same main artwork can be seen @ the TBS site [JP] (http://www.tbs.co.jp/anime/kenpu/).

A cover with four girls that doesn't provide any indication of what you're getting... I haven't seen it, but have read a few bits of info about the show. This cover sure won't get me to try it out. I don't know if there is a cover that could do that, though.

I somewhat like this cover, but I'm not interested in the show.

It's an alright cover, but pretty simple as it is. I'm not really interested in getting this.

It isn't the art that's the problem (although I don't love the art, particularly), but those pastel blocks, it looks like a still from one of the uglier Ranma 1/2 OP/ED animations. Except those were usually in primary or reddish saturated earth-tone colors. It looks like a photocopy of a photocopy.

While I like the art of the girls, the logo and the surrounding elements seem to have been assembled by another graduate of the Ray Charles School of Design (see also: Media Blasters' Otoboku covers).

It might not look very pretty, but since it uses the same style as the show's ED, it's appropriate at least. (I didn't like the ED much, but that had more to do with the music than the look of the thing)
I'll be getting this, but it's not a priority. The show had its' fun moments, though some elements annoyed me just a bit.

Not spectacular, but not terrible. I'd say it's average.

Not much to say about it, since it's for the most part the "safe" group image.

It's all right. Not totally off-putting, and I do like the girls.

Its alright, but nothing special.
I'll be getting this.

A little static, but otherwise a cute image showcasing the girls in the show. I agree with the other poster who said this looks very much like what you'd normally see on an R2 DVD cover, as opposed to the composite "action" shots we usually get here in R1...

Cover works for me. I'll be getting this eventually.

Exactly what I think of the cover...
Updated cover art added to the first post. Flat and back cover added as well.
New special feature listed (on back cover):
Amazing Bowel Familiars

Much better! I like the new cover art. It looks much less like a DVD cover for a 1980's sitcom now...
However- "Amazing Bowel Familiars"? Eww...

I pretty much agree with you on the updated cover art. I have no idea what this particular extra is about.

If it's what I think it is, then it's a short segment where dolls chat. I don't remember much about it, but I don't think there was any actual animation in it, just stills.

That's a vast improvement. It's gone from a static, limp piece surrounded by pastel collage vomit to an active composition with a bunch of design busywork in the same colors which manages to work with the art.

Ah, that explains it then. I hadn't even noticed that those were their guts sticking out there on the back cover...

The logo still needs to be tweaked a bit...nah, "tweaked" isn't strong enough. I think I really mean "replaced."

Its pretty much the Japanese logo, only with Katakana replaced with English (well, German).
And the original wasn't exactly breaking new ground in logo design either. Not sure why its at an angle here.

Well, I always appreciate a good attempt at mimicking original logos. Or, in this case, as in some others, using the English variant that exists alongside the original Japanese logo as the stylistic basis for the main English version. But the ぷ and the ー in the original logo weren't unnecessarily offset at distractingly bad angles like the P and the R are in the English version. I get what someone likely thinks is the clever reasoning behind it, but that doesn't make it look any less silly or sloppy to someone for whom Roman letters are what is most familiar. Japanese people buying the Japanese release, for the most part, wouldn't think much about goofy English text.
Ehhh...well, I'm very philosophically supportive of the logo and the reasons why Sentai designed it that way, but I also still find it very unfortunate to look at.

And that's precisely why I don't like it. We once again have another busy, bright and shinny cover... I'll never understand Americans' tastes.

As I understand it, Kämpfer isn't exactly a mono no aware sort of show...
