It does its job. It's a Pokémon cover after all. I will be passing on this.

If anyone is wondering the reason why this boxset is 15 episodes instead of the usually 17/18 is because the series changed its aspect ratio to 16:9 high definition. The episodes on this disc were all broadcasted on its previous 4:3 aspect ratio. VIZ will more than likely use 18 episodes for the next boxset and then 19 in the third boxset (or vice versa). Whther or not the next two boxsets will get the Blu-ray treatment has yet to be seen but since this is VIZ we're talking about the chances of that happening are slim.

As for the cover art, its okay. My first gripe is that Monferno and Staraptor should have been used instead of Chimchar and Staravia. The second gripe is that everyone is staring west and running/flying in that direction while Chimchar is the only one jumping up looking north.

The cover works well with Ash and all of his Pokemon in possession. Pretty solid if I say so.

Are they ever going to release boxsets for the remaining Johto and Hoenn episodes? (with the original, better voices) :anger200:
