Colors don't mesh well with the blue case, but whatever. Really hope this uses the new HD transfer.

Even though I still have some of the original singles I will pick this up.

The blue doesn't really look good with the cover but I do plan on buying this. I still haven't seen the whole series (since it never aired on YTV in Canada) and never bothered to buy the DVDs so I guess this would be a good time to start.
The main artwork is almost as expected. It doesn't mesh with the BD banner. I will be thinking on this one (maybe after reviews). It's maybe for now.

A reworking of the Season Sets for BD? Well, that was expected. I'll pass as I have the DVD sets.

Well this sucks..I assumed it would be something more interesting.
It now goes from an insta-buy, to an over-time buy.

Hmm... kind of hoping this would be different in hopes that they would have the bonus stuff that they had on the original single discs yet didn't have in the 2-disc and 4-disc season sets. Looks like that won't be the case.
Nonetheless, I'm still looking to pick this up. YYH on Blu-ray has been one of my hopes.

Well i am more interested in knowing if it is using the same Japanese BD masters or just Funi's upscale version of the DVDs ?

I have a feeling they probably just will upscale the season sets.
Also, just noticed how Yusuke isn't on the spine in this art, that sucks.

Really? Based on what precedence? Has FUNi ever upscaled a cell animated show? There was talk of Trigun but the BD version of that got pulled

Based on the cover, but they might use the Japanese remaster.

Based on a cover they used before the remaster was even available no less.

I hope they fixed the Opening issue on Season 3/4.
What opening issue?
They used the first variation of the opening, rather than the ones that reflect the story arcs featured.

Hmm that's stupid...even after they got it right on the singles release too. Well if they fix that for the Blu-ray release and if it's the Japanese remaster, I'll definitely be picking this up.

So the DVD Version Of the season sets had the wrong opening in season 3 and 4 did they do a disk replacement program or something???

No, that isn't the kind of thing companies do disk replacements for.

For some reason, the Anime Classics border does a great deal of good for this cover. To me, at least.

I wholeheartedly agree, gives it some sort of balance if ya know what I mean. Plus, this is a legit classic .

Yep, looks like an early 90s anime TV series. I guess it looks better than any previous versions, but it doesn't look like Blu-ray does much for it. Still, I imagine it would be a lot worse if FUNimation tried to do it on their own, and if I finally get around to buying the series, it will definitely be on Blu-ray.

Its almost the same trailer as the 2008 one for the first collection. I saw a marked improvement in the Kuwabara Spirit Sword scene, but that could just be me.
