Not quite as good as the covers from the singles and a familiar artwork as well. It feels too toned down for me. In any case, I will be getting this.
Bah! The single covers were so much better.

I like this one. It's got some service but it's not as extreme as the single box. I have people over at my house and having to potentially explain that cover was always something that turned me off from picking it up.

I'm still buying, but that's a pretty darn boring cover. Given the show's contents, I would have preferred something with a lot more service...

It's not as skin-tastic as the single covers, but still appropriate for the show. I like it and can't wait for this to come out this coming spring...

Wow. That's awesome about the OVA, and good to know we'll never have to bother wondering whether Media Blasters would even consider trying to license those two random episodes. Hopefully this release will have all the animated shorts, from both the series and OVA, as well.

I can't imagine how many copies will be on Ebay and Half.com. I'm going to keep mine just for the awesome cover :nosebleed:.

For those who don't know already, the OVA series is not included. 2 of the animated shorts are included: Girls Channel: Akane, Girls Channel: Tamamo & Yukihana. All three discs have the same disc art.

Aside from the broken flapper on mine, it would nice if MB put different art on the discs instead the same damn one for all three.

I thought my flapper was broken too, but on further inspection it wasn't snapped in. Yet, the first disc nipple was smashed a bit so the disc is really loose :anger200: A crappy disc holder if you ask me. I haven't noticed the disc art, but I'll check it tonight. It would have been nice if they used the singles covers for each....oh well....

I mentioned this in some other MB thread, but the last three 3-disc sets I've bought from MB (all new releases and within a 3 to 5 month span) had at least one, or more, broken disc hubs.
I don't know if they just got a bad batch of these things, or something is happening during packaging; either way, it's annoying to have to replace these types of cases.
As for the lack of individual disc art, while disappointing (though hardly surprising), do they at least have some identification, like numbers, to distinguish between the trio?

Yes. They have numbered discs with the titles of the volumes on them:
1. Sexy like a fox
2. The wolf in no clothing
3. Catch a vulpine by the tail

I got mine a while back. Overall it's a very bare bones and cheap looking package, but it sells for a barebones and cheap price so it's a super fair trade-off.

wow so i was eyballin maybe getting this and did some digging.. i guess this was supposed to be a 3 disk set.. and looking at the original cover art was pretty damn cool. I guess they cheaped out and threw it down in this single collection set =( Skimming the thread there are a couple things that are concerning. and i wanted to confirm
1)it seems that this does NOT include the 2 OVA's right? Im guessing the OVA's are the 12 2 minute long little shorts, right?
2)all 3 disks have the same cover art? This is just lazy and beyond cheap... really?
3) Packaging sounds like its a litebox with a poorly designed hinge, right?
i dunno i was on the fence about this anyway because the few epps of this i saw back in the day looked like typical T&A garbage, with a really whiney and wussy main. Such a cheap-o release has me thinking pass. Its not even visually appealing. The series was all about ecchi and this is a rather plain looking cover
I havent even seen any real reviews up to see how the video quality is. Im actually browsing TRSI media blaster sale. How is this company's releases? I was very disappointed in a lot of Sentai/section 23's cheap and dirty releases so im wondering how Media blasters stacks up these days.
Im trying to remember what ive seen from media blasters lately and the only thing i can recall was Ramen fighter Miki, which had pretty decent video quality, but the subs were poorly done. There were lines even i knew were wrong (i.e. when miki and the blonde chick were arguing early on i clearly heard her say 'pan' and it was translated as 'you have nothing left to learn from me' I played the fansub and the line was actually her saying 'your bread is full of air' which made a lot more sense'

they even get the later part right afterward where she keeps insulting her with 'full of air!'.. but utterly screw it up in the initial line o_O crap like that has me really doubt a companies competency. Thats the kind of garbage you dont even see with the garbage speed subbers
