Who else went to see Evangelion 2.0, and what version did you get, Subbed or Dubbed?

Evangelion 2.0/2.22 discussion thread (http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=100695)

Anyway, I wasn't able to see it in theaters, but I have seen it, subtitled.

The one I saw was subbed, and I am not a fast reader, I missed most of the fast dialog, and left the theater with a headache, I was wondering if all theaters were showing this version or the theater I went to was being a douche.

I saw it, and it was subbed. Thought it was dubbed when it started out, though, since they hired some fairly competent English speakers for the intro dialogue.

It was subbed where I saw it.

That thread's also about 6 months old, so I'd say let the old thread stay dead. As for the topic, I don't go to the theaters anymore, since around here, a ticket is just too expensive to watch a movie on someone else's schedule.

Given every listing I've seen on the movie ticket websites has had the Japanese cast listed, I imagine they were all subbed.

Wish I'd not had to drive 3 1/2 hours each way to see it, but it was definitely worth it. I wanted to say, "At least we know Gainax still has access to the GOOD drugs..." but I know PanSto came after Eva 2.0 so already had confirmation of that.

I also have to picture Asuka looking at her script and throwing it back in the director's face and going, "My part in this movie bites!" She definitely got the short end of the rebuild. Did rather like Mari- but also don't see exactly why they needed her in it.

And Koaru's last line was quite O_O with regards to how the rebuild fits into the rest of the Eva mythos...

Pft. They stole that idea from Banpresto.

And they stole much of the original TV show from a combination of the Bible and the DSM 4, doesn't make the show any less awesome or that line any less O_O! ;)

Let me rephrase that, they stole that from Banpresto's reinterpretation of Evangelion.

Which is...amusingly recursive.

Just came back from the theater tonight here in Houston (Alamo Draft House West Oaks)

It was good. I had seen it already but I took some friends with me.

I actually thought it was going to be dubbed but that was not the case. One of the funi reps was there handing out 2.0 movie posters though so that was nice.

He said that in March (for this theater anyhow) that the Blu-Ray of 2.22 would be shown with English dub and that Tiffany Grant would be present :beatingheart:
