Yeah so i have my hands on the first Prinny on PSP but have to give it back to a friend in a couple days.

I know it's utterly hard, but how long is it actually? Like how many stages/worlds and how long do they take to beat. I can guess the difficulty most likely make up 90% of the game's lenght...

Just wondering if i should get into it or pass on it for now. I'd have monday night and tuesday all day to beat it. If that's not enough to beat it, i think i'll skip playing it for the time being. (anyway i do plan to buy it later on as i bought it on release and still have the LE box, just got rid of the game for masssive credit and planned to re-buy it on the cheap anyway).

I'm not sure how long it would take to finish. I got it and gave up well before the end. I found the game difficulty relied mostly on being really cheap. Having enemies begin attacking before they're onscreen, and positioned at just the right point to screw up any attempt at platforming. Difficult is one thing. This game is just cruel.

Turns out it's a pretty short game and i'll have it beat pretty soon.

But i just can't believe how overblown this game's difficulty has been. I just beat the first 5 or 6 stages (gathered all ingredients, going to the mountain to see the old man next) in one sitting of 2-3 hours. Sill have 890+ lives and even had to beat the hardest stage/boss in last, which makes it even harder. In the dumb order i mad eit, i had to fight the super fast ninja in the magma stage. Some people say they never managed to beat it and dropped the game there. Died a few times in the stage and took about 10-12 tries on the boss, 30 minutes at most and it was done.

Sure, i play it on the default "normal" difficulty, don't go after the hard to get items in the stages and get some very average C rankings but still...this game is a cake compared to most every 2D Megaman title or even most schmups.

Great fun though and seems to have great replay value. I'm glad i decided to tackle it right away.

Keep in mind that a lot of the folks who'd be playing the game are more accustomed to the leisurely pace of RPGs and strategy games. If that's their usual fare, the difficulty may seem a lot higher by comparison.

Just a guess anyway, I never played it.
