Mania Grade: A-
In Summary:
This volume caught me off guard, offering a surprisingly interesting and unique lead to follow throughout the book. Hikage’s problem with getting noticed may not be anything special, but the extremes to which it’s taken definitely are. The length to which this is taken also makes it all the more interesting to watch Hikage grow and try to break free of her shell. The supporting characters here remain fairly nebulous, but the story presented certainly leaves room for them to grow. Though the aspect of Hikage’s trust for her online friends seems awkward at times, and perhaps a little too naïve, the way they play into the story certainly works well enough. Hopefully the next volume will manage to meet the high standards set here.
