Yuri was the only difficult choice. I changed my mind several times between her and Asa Shigure (Shuffle!). Asa was the only character that I still liked at the end of Shuffle!.

Only one insta-vote for me from this batch, and perhaps surprisingly, it's Ryo-Ohki. I cut my teeth on Tenchi Muyo, and Ryo-Ohki has been one of my alltime favorite mascots ever since. Belldandy gets a nod because she's Belldandy. Ironically, she's not even my favorite of the goddesses. But, I like the series quite a bit, so she gets my vote. Finally, Asuka gets vote number three. She's one messed up piece of work, but the three separate figures I have of her on my shelves must mean something. :sd:

Hmm, I'm going to pick Fakir just out of wuv for Black Swan and Tutu, leaving me a really tough last choice between a number of girls and one awesomely crazy Selecao.
Something says I should pick Yuko. Even though she's a self centered torturess of a certain protagonist. But she's got the looks and the smarts, even if she's a drunken bitch sometimes. I could probably say the same for Asa too, but logic doesn't come into play.

I didn't have an amazingly high attachment to any characters this round and there weren't many beyond the ones I voted for that I cared much about at all. Sumire and Schine were basically locks from the beginning, it was who to pick for my third vote that was a problem. The only other ones I gave any consideration to at all were Kawasumi Mai and Tsukasa Hiiragi. And that was only when I first looked, when I looked again today, it was three easy votes.

Once again, the first vote is for my own character, the "Zweites Kind" Asuka Langley Soryu (which is German for second child). As for my second vote, I went with "Clumsy Miko" Tsukasa Hiiragi. There was no doubt about this vote as I absolutely love this cutie, and not to mention her likeness to Yui Hirasawa. As for my final vote, it came down to nostalgia as I decided between a goddess and a cabbit. Seeing how Westlo will be getting votes from me later on whereas this is probably the only time that I will vote for one of ape's characters that the third vote went to "Spaceship Cabbit" Ryo-Ohki. Tainaka Ritsu and Hiiragi Tsukasa were the easy choices for me. Heck, I might have drafted Hiiragi Tsukasa myself since she is in music.

The final vote was hard as heck. I was able to eliminate a lot of characters for a variety of reasons.

It came down to a choice between Schine, Asa, and Ushio. I had to give it to Schine because she's fresher in my mind than the other two.

If I had fourth and fifth vote, I would have given them to Asa and Ushio. Darn it, now I'm already feeling guilty about this.

Mahoro placed about where I expected. I'm surprised Mai managed to give Asuka a battle at the top, and I thought that Belldandy would have been the one to battle Asuka for first.:sweat:

Asuka has always been a popular character as evidenced by the many figures of her that have been produced. With the Rebuild of Evangelion movies coming out, I was expecting her to go in the early rounds once again. I think that after seeing how well she did here that she will go early again, but it also depends on how many other players are drafting with themes where Asuka doesn't fit in. I believe that was the primary reason for her slide into round 7 since many were drafting with themes that I could not conceivably see Asuka being a part of. I was expecting her to be in contention to win this round given that she is someone who normally goes early against typical round 7 competition that featured only a few others that I thought had a strong chance at winning.

One more thing I might add was that I almost didn't draft Asuka. While I do love her as a character, I do not like most of the figures of her. But during Ohayocon, I found the figure that is featured in my blog that I just had to get it with that chibi expression. Thus, I bought it and then decided to take her with my round 7 selection. Finally, I say thanks to all those who voted for Asuka. I was hoping to win at least one round and I felt that Asuka had the best chance at doing so out of all my characters on my team.

You can thank a rewatch recently and released how much I loved the show, and in particular Ma-iiiiiii! If Sayuri had been picked, she'd be a lock on vote as well, and with uguu coming up...

And hey, Tama-chan did better than expected - I get the feeling Kirino is more popular in BB with Tama as the second most popular but she's still got a number of fans here, so again higher than I thought - I honestly though from Kino onwards be in several bottom 5's but hey, can't complain.
