Launched today on the XBLA; but has no firm PSN date, only "later this year" (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-02-ubisoft-bg-and-e-hd-ps3-later-this-year). Eurogamer says it's a timed exclusive, with whatever the hell "House Party" is supposed to be. (the latter bit is just me)
I remember this game very favorably, though I never did beat it. I can wait to purchase this on the PSN, since I like the PS3 controller better. But I'd like to hear impressions if anyone is getting it on the 360.

I think Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was also an XBLA timed exclusive because it was part of a 360 promotion. I believe it took about a month or two after the promotion ended for it to come out on PSN.

I bought this game back on the GameCube, and I honestly never thought this game was all that special, certainly not to the extent the hype made it out to be. And I know it's supposed to be a literary reference, but for a game called "Beyond Good and Evil", there was certainly a clear-cut "Good" and a clear-cut "Evil". That said, it did have excellent music and I wouldn't mind playing it again on PSN. I do have to take some amusement in seeing modern reviews of the XBLA version where reviewers have suddenly realized the game was never the masterpiece they originally thought it was.

Yeah, timed XBLA exclusives are usually a month. BG&E and Hard Corps Uprising should be on PSN next month.
As for BG&E, I've never played it so will definitely be buying, but I think I'll wait for it to hit PS3. More room on my PS3 HDD, I prefer the controller and more importantly, I have games coming out of my ears at the minute, so can definitely wait a few weeks.

Interesting...I knew this was coming at some point. I liked the game but it's incredibly short and really not "all that". I was interested in the sequel but there's so much drama with that and it's not gonna happen unless this HD is a smash hit. Atleast from reports/rumors going around but one thing is for sure. Ubisoft is not sure what they want to do, if anything, with the property....

So why is it not on PSN yet? I'm confused and these timed exclusives are really starting to get annoying. All they do is hurt the industry more than the gamers because by the time it comes out on some other system, no one is going to care about it and instead of getting like 80% sales at the same time, they get 30% for the first system and maybe 20% to buy it from the other system, while the remainder moved on to better things. I've heard this game was great, but I fall into the field of just moving on since this is not out on the PSN. Just like Limbo. I wanted to play that game two months ago, but now, I don't care if it ever comes to PSN, I lost my interest in it.

Money talks. Every time MS has one of their promotions (Summer of Arcade etc) the games end up being 4 week exclusives. It's annoying, but not much you can do about it unless you own a PS3 and 360.

Its not just MS throwing money at the game, its them promoting the hell out of it. These games get great amount of sales if they are featured in one of MS promotions. So its worth the timed exclusive. Plus don't forget PSN has exclusives too, like flower and StardustHD. Hell sometimes it works to gamers advantage with so much stuff coming out, those on the outside get to see if its worth buying or not, while spreading out purchases a little. We all can't work exclusively for buying games like Johnny. :P :P :P

Could always buy an old copy of the game if you have an older console (Gamecube, PS2, etc...) or a backwards compatible PS3.... just a thought...

Well I would have a 360 too if they didn't keep dying on me. -_- :-D
