I saw this on another site and liked the idea. Do you have a particular gaming moment(s) that you are proud of? It doesn't have to be an Achievement or Trophy...that's just the standard benchmark for today's gaming. Something you put a lot of time into and we're elated you did it? That amazing sense of gratification of not being a games bitch but it being yours?

For me... a couple come to mind.

The original Contra - In the arcade, beat it without dying once, without cheats and one quarter. Atleast for my little town as a kid I was the only one to do such a feat.

Morkat Kombat 1 & 2 - Another arcade, I owned at these games. Defeating everyone who competed against me in junior high. Mom wouldn't let me to enter a tournament... or own a home version of the game....

DarkSiders - Aerial Predator; a real pain in the ass...netted me my second ever Plat!

Shadow Hearts Covenant - It was the first full RPG I played beginning to end. If it wasn't for this game I would never have gotten into rpg's. I'm also proud I did and obtained everything you can think of in this game. It sucked hours from life but it was brilliant.

I'm sure there's more but that's what I got while here at work.

- I pulled off the "swingset glitch" in GTAIV with a dump truck and it flew onto a highway overpass, bounced, hit a car, then plunged into the ocean.

- Beat Gun Nac on NES without continuing, and held the high score on shmups.com for a while before I got dethroned (the game is really easy though)

- A Steam friend and I beat The Passing in Left 4 Dead 2 on the first day it came out, without getting killed. Not that big of an achievement but I felt proud.

- Speaking of Left 4 Dead 2, I managed once in Versus to ride someone as the Jockey long enough to not only get the Qualified Ride achievement, but also enough to incapacitate the Survivor I was riding. I've also managed to vomit/explode on all 4 Survivors as a Boomer once.

Chrono Trigger - Finally getting the last of the many endings back on the NES after playing it longer than any RPG before or since.

Onimusha - Staying up till nearly dawn just to beat the game in one night. Then staying up past dawn to restart the game in the silly panda suit for another hour of laughs.

Transformers: War for Cybertron - Getting the last trophy so I have a Platinum on that game. Because I will never get another Platinum on any PS3 game. I am to old to be good at most modern games.

For once I am proud of an achievement I got. In Deathsmiles I got "Windia's True Power" with a score of 59,247,292 and oh god this was a nightmare to obtain. Played it like 50 times before I truly got the hang of dodging. I went in the order C-1 lvl1, C-2 lvl3, B-1 lvl1, A-2 lvl1, A-1 lvl1, and B-2 lvl1. I could've done A-1 lvl3 without getting hit, but didn't want to risk it. Against Jitterbug I kept dying, so when I got to him with 4 health, I decided to use bombs everytime shit appeared on screen (there should be a fart sound everytime purple appears on screen). Sure I didn't get cake, but it worked and in the end I won against Tyrannosatan with 1 health and zero bombs. Now I have to do this again with the other three characters, but some other time.

This game is strict. Health is scarce, I can't even score 100 mil, but hey at least it's not Silver Surfer NES.:P Games I have 100% achievements in order from hardest to easy:

Eternal Sonata (hey it's the only disc game)
Dead Rising 2: Case West
Beyond Good and Evil HD
Sonic The Hedgehog
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (very easy)

I want to get the remaining ones in Tales of Vesperia, but I'm just too lazy and I know I want to get them all in Alice: Madness Returns, and I don't even know what they are.:P

I think my proudest moment in gaming was beating Gears of War 2 Horde mode all by myself! I finished all 50 waves on casual and then decided to try it on insane!! Took a long time, but I actually did it! One hell of a rush!

Talyn, the home versions of MK games sucked anyways apparently, lol, but it sucks that you didn't get to enter the tournaments.

For me:

Perfect Dark Zero: Beating both single player and co-op on DARK agent. By far the hardest single player I have ever played. I have like 2 easy achievements left for 1000/1000, I just haven't got around to getting it.

I got the platinum trophy for Infamous (Basically means 1000/1000 for those who don't have a PS3).

1000/1000 for Hitman: Blood Money

Persona 3 FES: Beat it on hard mode, this was very tough.

1000/1000 Tomb Raider: Legend

200/200 Doom (This one was pretty tough, beating the game on ultra-violence)

All I can think of right now.
EDIT: Oh I forgot one of the most important ones.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle: Getting all A ranks.

Red Dead Redemption - "Dastardly" A hidden trophy you get when you hogtie a woman and leave her on the railroad tracks and watch a train run her over.

Hmm. My proudest moment. I guess getting 100% in F/SN and thereby getting the special background/music for the start screen.

Well, I don't really do anything with trophies, and I'm not really a hard player of achievements, but I did have this good feeling when I got my first 200/200 in a game (Droplitz). And might I say, that playing 1 game for 2 hours one was quite tricky...

Yeah, well...little did my mom know when we went to Vegas (we went a few times, mom loved to gamble and hang out with my aunts) I'd hit up the arcades. I'd set up shop for a few hours and play other kids some younger, some older and some college students. I wasn't too shabby. ;) Hey, us kids had our ways of living in the spirit of Las Vegas.

Hmm... hard to say...

I think I was pretty excited when I finally got the complete cast of characters in Chrono Cross permanently (given you have to play through certain parts of the game at least two whole times more). Getting Harle as a permanent addition was interesting enough on it own. Oh, and another thing with Chrono Cross would be that frustrating minigame where you feed the dragons. I never did well the first few times I played, but I eventually tried over and over again and got good at it on one of my later plays (and got the highest prize...)

Ah, and finally completing the voice collection on the original Valkyrie Profile was nice too. I thought it was going to be extremely difficult getting those damned bosses to say what I wanted them to say (waiting and waiting, and then they never cast one spell, or say one of their attack lines) and then found out you only needed to get to about 95% or so and you get the rest automatically...

Getting absolutely everything in Chocobo Hot & Cold in Final Fantasy IX was pretty cool too. I was so absorbed in those minigames for some reason...

I still don't think I will ever get that Super Suit in Super Mario RPG. I know I was excited just getting the Attack Scarf as I had a hard enough time with 30 jumps. At least it was interesting to see its existence when my brother cheated by using save states one time...

"Finishing" Columns(the old puzzle game on the Mega Drive/Genesis) when I was about 13. You can't really finish it as such, but the highest level you can get to is 199. It took me about 4 hours to get there but after I gave the controller to my sister she lasted about 10 seconds because it was going so quick.
