Anise Tatlin is my character, and Edy Nelson was my first choice for Valkyria Chronicles characters, so those were easy choices. Then its a toss up between a classic fun character and a recent badass. Hmmmmm..... I guess I'll go with some classic love this time, especially since I was more or less forced to skip both of my beloved FF6 characters in round 2.

Yes, I still have not started on the actual VC game. Let's just say I wonder if watching the anime first was a mistake on my part. Make of that what you will.

As for Lightning, I'll admit that sometimes I do watch LPs and I have been watching one for FFXIII. All I will say is what I've seen so far gives me mixed feelings on her.

I'm leaning towards Etna, but I'll give it a bit more time before I make a final decision. I prefer to wait until closer to the end of the round. I have my reasons. Also, I have to admit Marle is tempting from a nostalgic stand point. Regardless, both Anise and Tatyana are a lock.

Anise is love and one of the best aspects of Tales of the Abyss. Also, it's fun to use her in battle and/or watch her fight in battle.

Tatyana is an extreme level favorite for me. Plus, the whole "sweet names" and "wandering girl" aspects appeals to me a whole lot. Plus, I drafted her for a reason.

I made up my picks fairly early on, so this is who I voted for:

Squall Leonhart - The only male character I like in any Final Fantasy game. Bartz comes a close second.
Edy Nelson - She is the true star of the battlefield afterall. Don't you forget that, darlings!
Rachel Alucard - If I didn't know any better, she has this tsundere thing for Ragna. That makes her cute and that gets my vote. Plus her unlimited version is evil!

First two are two of my absolute favorite FG characters, Rachel being my selection in this round, and I was looking to draft Cammy hopefully two rounds later.

I went with Marle, Wario, and Etna. I love Marle's personality and she's cute too. Wario is an amusing quirky anti-Mario. Etna may be the least favorite of the Disgaea main trio but she is still plenty awesome. X (the first two X games were the only MM games I've played extensively), Pikachu (besides the "cute mascot" infamy, Pika was pretty reliable early on in the original game), and Zidane (probably in the higher end for me as far as male FF leads) would be close to getting my votes if they didn't have the stronger competition.

Marle is an instavote, since she is a) awesome, and b) comes from one of my alltime favorite RPGs. Then it gets difficult.

Rachel must get a vote from me because of Kana Ueda and goth-loli. And she has a butler and cat-servants.

One vote left, but who to give it to?... Squall? I need to replay FFVIII (which I never quite finished but got very close to doing so), so unfortunately no. Pikachu? Against another batch of characters a vote may have been a foregone conclusion. But this is tough competition. Zidane is one of my favorite Final Fantasy protagonists, so he has a shot. Edy also has a very good chance. She was a staple in my Valkyria Chronicles squad after all. I haven't dealt with Wario in years, so his chances aren't looking good. Amaterasu has a very good chance as well, for being from such a fantastic game (which I never finished and need to restart someday).

So the finalists for my third vote are Zidane, Edy, and Amaterasu. Given these three, it is with regret that I must eliminate Ammy. So Zidane or Edy... both are great characters from excellent games. I have to give the nod to Zidane. Whipping Steiner into shape may have been a deciding factor. But also because Final Fantasy IX is one of my top favorites in the franchise.

Maya is just too adorable; hence why I picked her. The second and third votes are kind of a toss up this round. We have the money-grubber, the show-stealer, the head-strong sister, the goth-loli, and a voice that promises me cake.

Going the goth-loli route is very tempting, but I really liked Lightning as a lead. So that leaves the last vote. A vote that will be used on someone who you can always trust.

I'm much more limited when it comes to video game characters, so certain characters I know may not be selected because I don't really feel a connection with them, and some females will be voted purely for the hot factor, if I know who they are but have not played the game they are featured in.

I see Pikachu, so INSTANT VOTE right there. :) Cammy is the next one to receive a vote - I always preferred her legs over good 'ol Thunder Thighs.

The third vote will actually take some thought - it's between Lightning (hot factor), GlaDOS and Maya.

X triumphs over Beauty Queen Etna and Squall and gets the final vote as I'm rather fond of the blue bomber, although I'm rather fond of Etna and her flat chest as well.
