Why, you ask? Well here's why:
We talked to a focus group and they thought it wasn’t good for the market, so we didn’t do it. Maybe as a downloadable title it’s possible. The opinion was you couldn’t shoot anything. Maybe we shouldn’t have been too concerned about it.
And here is a prime example of how not to use a focus group. Obviously the people in this group are the kind of people who would have never bought Nanashi no Game in the first place. Therefore, this group's opinion was useless. Now if maybe the group was more varied or at very least was comprised of, oh I don't know, horror game players then maybe the response would have made more sense.
Oh, but this is Square-Enix we're talking about... Of course they won't use common sense.
