DVD vs. BLu-ray for anime

So, with all these new blu-rays coming out of older anime, there have been quite a few criticisms of whether or not the DVD was better (i.e. Samurai Champloo). I was wondering if maybe people could help a brotha out and list some of the releases where the blu-rays totally are worth it, or they totally suck. Thanks!
