I'd rather they do the Plus Communications versions of games on disc...
sides I rather like Nemu and Sakura more.

Eh. D.C.P.C. wasn't as good as the original, in my opinion. The extra characters just didn't add much value and made it kind of confusing. On the other hand, I would agree about D.C.II.P.C being desirable.
I was hoping it would be D.C. Spring Celebration or D.C. Four Seasons, personally. Still, Kotori Love ExP is actually one of a few D.C. games I don't already own (the others being Onsen-hen). So I'll probably get it.

Heh, and I was just recently considering buying Innocent Finale during their earthquake relief promotion. Glad I decided to hold off on that, though I did get the original D.C. and Suika.

For those unsure about either Higurashi or Kira Kira MangaGamer has free trial versions of both games (all ages version for Kira Kira) available for download (http://www.mangagamer.com/allages/).
Both are games I find immensely enjoyable and heartily recommend. Plus it is free, so you lose nothing giving it a shot.

STORY
March, 1956.
Tokyo; a metropolis finally starting to recover ten long years after Japan’s defeat in the War.
Private eye Tokisaka Reiji accepts a strange request from a girl in Inokashira Park.
“I want you to look for something. Me. My true self.”
Meanwhile, a series of bizarre murders is plaguing the area, one where young women are disappearing, only to turn up dead and maimed with their wombs torn out. Seeking assistance on the case, Detective Uozumi Kyoko called up his old friend and former co-worker, Reiji.
Ouba Girls Academy; a school on the outskirts of Hoya City.
Reiji’s little sister attends this school, where two young women have mysteriously vanished. Saeki Tokio, the vice principal, calls in Reiji to investigate their disappearance, giving him his third case.
Reiji infiltrates the academy as a substitute teacher to glean information from the students—but that’s when he meets her once again.
Kuchiki Toko—his first client, the girl who asked him to search for her true self. Her manner is distinctly boyish as she remarks:
“Heya – so we meet again, Mr. Detective.”
The body count continues to rise.
What should be a simple search for some students is starting to grow out of control.
For some reason, the number of missing people and unidentified bodies don’t match up.
Who will be chosen as the next victim?
As the endless cycle of tragedy continues, what mysteries lie behind these new cases? Behind a similar series of murders from six years ago?
Innocent Grey presents an original, psychologically thrilling mystery for your pleasure.
Here, your investigative work and deductions directly influence the course of the story.
Will you be able to use the clues contained in your notebook to piece together the truth in this pulse-pounding mystery thriller?
With a cast of more than thirty characters, there’s no shortage of complicated relationships, drama, and riddles.
You may let out a scream. You may be this close to letting the killer get away. But what every you do, don’t let this amazing work slip under your radar!

Voices, apparently. (http://www.siliconera.com/2011/05/17/investigate-kara-no-shoujo-from-mangagamer-this-summer/)
I was thinking it would be some sort of censorship, either for underage characters or violence. One the one hand, I'm a bit more forgiving of this than removing "offensive" content, since these kind of things are most likely due to understandable financial reasons for an extremely niche product and/or rights issues rather. On the other hand, it affects the game far more than just removing or slightly altering a scene.

This is at least the second time this has happened, right? I know Koihime had this problem.
I can't see myself ever buying an unvoiced visual novel. The voices are a big part of why I'm interested. And I mean I probably wouldn't even buy one that was originally unvoiced. So buying an unvoiced version of a VN that was originally voiced is just utterly out of the picture. Especially given that I haven't even gone through most of the VNs I've already bought.
Granted, I am not interested in this specific title, going by the synopsis. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a bad sign.

well unvoiced VNs are ok... if it was unvoiced to begin with. I got the original PC Higu and Umi VNs... but I have to say the PS3 Umi is way more awesome with the voices (regardless if your a fan or not of the updated graphics).
I dont like it but I wouldnt buy any DL only games anyway... good luck to em.

Most unvoiced visual novels usually have voiced copies... it's not that hard to add the voices.

This isn’t a case of “MG is poor/trying to spur sales” with the voices. This is a case of the agency that owns the track remembering the anime boom and refusing to negotiate to the realities of the current market.
So it's basically as people surmised.

Trial download is now up (http://www.mangagamer.com/r18/Titles/Gallery?type=BD30BF2A-9559-4703-B552-CA1D1E27E6AB&maker=F2CEBE0A-636F-459C-81FD-565EF0DC66F8&brand=C06DC486-2E30-472D-97F1-E4B0473ACE86&item=359B59DA-2B1C-4FD1-8574-58C8343CF220#item_F4B06B6B-90A5-4B45-9245-09237C0DB6C3). Trial doesn't have sex but probably should be considered 18+ for what is still present in this chunk anyway.
