Fractale is a wonderfully animated show with great character designs, a few cute characters and a lot of fascinating interesting ideas for a story. However, it has no clue what to do with these things and after a curious start and a muddled middle it crashes into a chaotic ending. It is the prettiest trainwreck I have ever seen. It's like watching a train transporting a circus crash into an amusement park. You should be horrified and appalled but how often does that happen? I recommend it for that reason alone.
Infinite Stratos is a mecha harem animé with a healthy dose of ecchi and that’s all you need to know. It does nothing new or original and all the girls are stereotypes you have seen before. It is not a bad mecha harem show and it is well animated, so it is not a bad way to fill your ecchi mecha harem quota.
Kore wa Zombie desu ka has the funniest most creative first episode of the season. It then gets a little worse each episode by relying on a cute girl harem formula with a dose of random Drama©. If you have fallen in love with at least two girls by the fourth episode you should be able to make it to the end. Also recommended for fans of To Aru Majutsu no Index.

I have to agree with your assessment of Fractale which could have used a few more episodes to flesh the story out, but it's worth watching as the story is intrigueing. I'm loving Kore wa Zombie desu ka? for it's offthewallness. It takes a ton of anime cliches and blends them up and spits them out wonderfully. If you ever wanted to see a Vampire Ninja girl, well here's you're chance. Besides, I'm enjoying the harem male lead for once. I haven't watched the other two.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka - probably my favorite of the past season, followed closely by the incomplete Madoka.
All the characters are interesting (sans 1, but he's only around a couple episodes). Imo, it actually manages to do absurd, off the wall comedy and dramatic moments very well, sometimes simultaneously.
Infinite Stratos - I probably like this one more than most people on the board, but even I wouldn't classify it as a top tier. The male lead is pretty much a parody of male harem lead denseness. He can be quite the trial when it comes to the romance part. I pretty much liked all the girls, although some took an episode or two for me to warm up to them. The mecha fights are generally well done.
Fractale - gave it a try, but couldn't find much to interest me.
Wandering Son - didn't watch, no comment

Wandering Son: This is an outstanding show---good coming of age drama with gorgeous animation (and an awesome song for the end credits).
The only thing holding it back is it skips over some really important stuff from the beginning of the story. Read this first to see who's who and what happened to them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wandering_Son
