Star Driver, Super Robot Wars OG

You like sexual stuff so I think it's worth noting that Star Driver has some sexually flamboyant clothing.

For both series you really need an appriciation for Super Robots to some extent though, so you MAY not like it.

The first thing to get out of the way with StarDriver is that it is FABULOUS! If you thought a show like Code Geass was flamboyant you haven’t seen anything yet.

The show has a pretty set formula for most of its episodes. It starts with highschool highjinks and ends with a FABULOUS! zero time battle complete with transformation sequences in which our hero initially almost loses but then pulls some previously unknown ability out of somewhere or some Deus Ex Machina happens that allows him to win the episode.

Dramatic issues are normally resolved in a single episode and the show is pretty vague on its plot and character motivations for a long time. It is a very pretty and well animated show and the bad guys laughable but FABULOUS! disguises are worth the price of admission. It is the Clark Kent syndrome at its finest.

The show doesn’t have a lot of tension or make all that much sense and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It doesn’t help that the show establishes that the day the hero loses the show is over. So If you want to see something pretty and FABULOUS! with some really flashy looking battles then give it a try but don’t expect anything deep. I grew tired of the formula after a few episodes but I understand the final episode was very flashy and impressive with a battle that was actually important.

If not...well, that depends on how much context you demand for your awesome mecha action.
