Mania Grade: B+
In Summary:
The temptations placed before Kimimaro are the ones that face most of us, especially at that age, and Masakaki knows exactly how to tempt a new player into the game, manipulating his emotions by using his past against him in order to draw him in further. There's a fascinating edge behind the story here involving the Financial District, though I admit part of me wanted a show that dealt with the reality of the actual financial district in a way to highlight something subversive and intriguing. But what we have here has a whole lot of potential since it's dealing with that world through a different lens that could still say a whole lot. With some pretty strong animation, some intriguing character designs and a visualization of the Financial District that works pretty well as a battle field, there's a lot to like here if it can pull it off. It's definitely a show that like most others from the Noitamina block that need a few episodes in order to really engage you fully.
