It's pretty appropriate too, since Taketatsu voices Mirakurun. :)

People sometimes whine when inexperienced seiyuu dominate a cast (whether there's reason to heavily criticize or not will vary widely I guess), but I think I rather enjoyed this cast overall. They all seem to have nice voices so far, and I think Kyouko's VA was doing something right since I really enjoyed her character so far.

Oh god, that was an awesome first episode. It started off full blast and didn't stop.

Akari's sister's room was pretty epic - I hope they get more into that later on.

All the girls were really likeable and fun to watch. But...

I have to agree...Kyoko is my favorite character, too.

That was a lot of fun. Especially Kyouko (who seems to be the offspring of Ana Coppola and Matsuouka Miu). And Chinatsu throwing Akari under the bus so she could safely enter the room was awesome.

Also, those are some really unique looking uniforms. They're a little odd, but I like them.

Ah, nice. They decided to keep in Chitose's fantasizing! Which also means she'll be losing blood over the course of the series. She clearly loves the Ayano x Kyouko pairing a lot. In other words, she has good taste.

I think both Himawari and Sakurako would feel a lot better if they just had sex in order to deal with their frustrations. Plus, since there's potential for it to be awesome, that's another reason.

The way the characters are grouped is kind of fun. You have the "Club", "Year 2", and "Year 1" with each character being in two of the three groups. This allows for ways to mix things up on occasion.

Ah, so it was retconned in the manga. I either forgot about that or never got that far. In any case, it's a change that I can definitely approve of. Seriously, it's a series called Yuru Yuri. Having it being an older sister is a lot more fitting.

Plus, it's more appealing to my twisted and perverted mind if I can imagine Akari's older sister having her way with Akari. Hey, I said my mind was twisted. In any case, they are required to have her appear in the anime because I say so.

Although it's clear that Kyouko probably has some type of interest in Yui as well. At least I'm convincing myself of that.

Ah, there are even pictures of them as children together. I have no idea what to say about the flashback scene.

After the end of last episode, with Akarin being forgotten, the skit before the OP was very cute and the delayed punchline was clever and actually surprised me.

To me, this was the funniest episode so far.

This was a disappointing episode of Chitose's Lesbian Love Hunt. The best we got was some girls sleeping together, but not in that way, and Chitose didn't get to see it. Unless she's set up cameras. But next time it's Chitose's Beach Blanket Boinking!

Poor Ayano, all her word hard work paid off and yet in some ways it was a hollow victory.

Which will happen first? Option A, Ayano loses it and decides to ravage Kyouko. Option B, Sakurako loses it and decides to ravage Himawari.

Chitose got a lot of fantasizing time in this episode. Too bad the episode wasn't long enough to allow those fantasies to go even further.

Chinatsu managed to get kissed by Yui. Even if it was on the forehead. Still, she's a happy girl.

I get the feeling that Kyouko is both angry about Yui "stealing" away Chinatsu, and Yui paying attention to someone else. Or maybe I just want to believe that's the case.

Still that's the fun part. Be it love at first sight, a crush, or lustful desire, Kyouko has at least one towards Chinatsu. Kyouko clearly has some type of attachment to Yui. Ayano is essentially in love with Kyouko. That's got to be fun.

Yay swimsuits! Although I kind of wish they were more revealing. Also, too many wore swimsuits. Himawari had avantages over the others.

We did get yukatas near the end. So yay for that too.

Chitose is skilled at using fireworks. She can even write with them.

Granted, Chinatsu was able to write love in English.

It was fun to see all three groups together at the same time. With not one of them missing.

After being down at the Jersey shore myself this week, it seems even more obviously odd when characters go to a beach and it's totally deserted. Where is the rest of humanity who loves fun in the sun? Off teh top of my head the only show I can think of that actually had crowds on a beach was Ika-musume.

And it seems there's more to Chinatsu's personality than she's been been letting on. She isn't quite the sweet and innocent little girl she's been acting like.

This I have to agree with just because I like the direction it goes. Granted, an easy solution is for Ayano, Chinatsu, and Yui to become part of Kyouko's harem. Ayano gets to go out with Kyouko! By that I mean she's going to a convention with Kyouko along with Chitose and Yui.

I love the fact we gets costumes, but Kyouko makes Mirakurun look more like a villain for some reason. Still seeing her in twin tails is great.

Sakurako and Himawari get their own segment. They even talk about Akari. I think Sakurako idolizes Akari. Oh, and Chinatsu's a villain, apparently.

Akari and Chinatsu have a discussion about Yui and Kyouko. Which then leads to Chinatsu trying to ravage Akari as practice for Yui, it would seem.

Although I'd like to believe that Chinatsu wasn't doing it just for the sake of practice. So then, I see how the relationships are so far.

Kyouko has a lust for Chinatsu, but probably has a quiet fondness for Yui.

Yui has a relaxed and quiet fondness for Kyouko.

Ayano is in love with Kyouko.

Himawari and Sakurako want to ravage each other, but are in denial.

Sakurako has an admiration for Akari.

Akari's sister clearly loves her.

Chitose supports Ayano x Kyouko.

Chinatsu is in love with Yui.

Akari, I think she's the type that would end up being dragged into the flow of whoever want after her.

Aside from the sister, I don't think the others would be madly in love with Akari, but I see her as the type they might have a random urge to have "fun" with because she's so adorable.

Hooooooly shit, Chinatsu actually kisses Akari. And then Yui and Kyouko walk in on it. The chase was energetic and the lust on Chinatsu's face was awesome. It's a shame Akari is resisting, but it made for a fun scene. And Akari's face afterwards was hilarious.

However, I was kind of annoyed that the show refused to actually show the kiss. The yuri levels in this show are off the charts, but after half a dozen of Chitose's fantasies and now this epic scene, we never, ever actually see lips touch. I don't mind it too much in Chitose's fantasies since its part of the joke, but it bothers me that we can't see the kiss when one actually happens.

On a brighter note, ZOMG, Himawari's imouto is ridiculously adorable. And hiliarious. "It's the modern education system that brought this about, so I'll just have to put up with it. Don't give up, Sakurako-oneechan!" No matter what Sakurako wants to do to Himawari, even she can't resist that. And it turns out Akari has at least one fan in Sakurako.

Also, Chinatsu's true nature is finally out. Dark Chinatsu is awesome. "Hey, didn't you just say something really mean about me? ..... I feel like I'm hearing things I really shouldn't...."

Meh, I really wish I was far enough in the series to read up to the latest chapter. I've only really read up to chapter 22 and seen images of chapters past that due to obvious reason.

Hint, a license of the manga would help a lot....

In any case, it seems like there's at least seven volumes of the manga according to CD Japan. So the chapter you speak of assuming you mean newest as in current manga chapter would be part of volume 8.

I guess it depends on two factors. How many volumes they plan to adapt per season. How far they are willing to jump ahead. How many seasons this series will get.

With this episode, we first get the classic strategy of "divide the cast up for interaction purposes" which has the potential to go various ways depending on who is paired with who.

This time we get..... Ayano/YUi, Sakurako/Himawari, Chitose/Akari, and Chinatsu/Kyouko. Not just the pairings, but what they do is definitely varied.

So Chitose will fantasize about things aside from Ayano X Kyouko. We got Ayano X Yui this time around.

So we get a short segment showing the four leads interacting with family members and other such people. Sadly, we still don't see Akari's sister. Well, at least we got the lovely Akari in a yukata. That's clearly important.

However we are going to get a new girl next and thus there's potential for fun times.

Oh, and the eye catches this time were Ayano and Chitose. Which means there is hope for Sakurako and Himawari.

Chinatsu was interesting in that she both showed potential for a softer side and she reminded us of her level of lust. I think her fantasy might have gone further than Chitose fantasies.. I'm both slightly surprised and happy they went there.

Chinatsu gets to do the opening with Akari! Chinatsu gets to become transparent too. I think Chinatsu made a mistake.

Chizuru is quite different from Chitose, but in many ways similar. Like for example, she fantasizes too. Just that she prefers Ayano x Chitose. Oh, and she drools instead.

I think Kyouko has taken a liking to Chizuru, can't say the same about the other way around.

Once again, Ayano and Chitose for the eye catches, but that makes sense given the episode. Still we need them to give us eye catches for the remaining girls.

Yes, I am convinced that Chizuru has a thing for Chitose as well. Or maybe I just want to think that because they're twins.

Poor Ayano, she was so close to being able to feed Kyouko, and then its literally snatched away from her.

The whole episode was pretty good (lots of Ayano x Kyouko fun), but the pillow fight scene was particularly outstanding.

The scenes where Kyouko was talking about how jumping from the stage probably wouldn't kill you if not for the spiky fence are so true. I had the same conversations practically word for word at the same spots with my brother last year. To those who don't know, there's a legend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiyomizu-dera#Present) that if you jump from the stage and survive your wish will be granted.

Akari, you at least managed a story scene this time around.

So we get to see what the four were like as children. Some things remain the same and other things don't. Yui licking Kyouko's hand made me think "Was this the trigger?" Also, Yui is clearly the leader of the three.

Ah, so Chinatsu was a mean one back then. I speak as if she's pure now. Although I get the feeling she might also fall under the "act up to get attention" type.

So Kyouko goes through a personality change thanks to a head injury?! One that completely changes the flow of the show. Just goes to show who controls the flow of the series.

The others begin to dislike this and Yui is devastated. So there's only one thing left to do. And as indicated by bump number 2, we know exactly what it is.

So Akari's personality changes due to a bump as well. So injury controls personality. And now they're all preparing to change her back as well.

In a sense this episode puts things into perspective. It's just too bad that curing Kyouko didn't involve Yui needing to ravage her. Well, I can pretend that Yui changed her back because she prefers to ravage a wild Kouko.

Ok, Akane has to appear or at least speak next episode. Otherwise having a seiyuu for her is pointless.

The flashback was fairly amusing, but the best part was not even Chinatsu realizing who the girl was and going off about how she'd beat up that selfish bitch if she ever met her.

Then, Sane, Responsible Kyouko-Onee-sama. A.k.a. Bizarro Kyouko. I loved poor Chizuru getting traumatized by it.

And Poor Akarin, its her turn to go insane which gives her the side-effect of actually having a presence, and everyone is all to eager to beat her over the head a few times to turn her back to normal.

Holy shit, surprise Chitose/Ayano kiss. That came out of nowhere. Then Chitose kisses EVERYONE ELSE (except Sakurako and Himawari, who weren't there), most of them multiple times. Notably, Kaichou (and the teacher) didn't seem at all bothered by this. And Kyouko openly welcomed it.

In my opinion, this is probably going to be in my top 5 of the year. It was flawed but fun. While I loved it, there are some things it could have done better. The tsundere couple had their best moments in ep 2 and then after that it was all tsun and no dere. I'm a bit disappointed that Ayano was acting like a typical male lead in the last 3 episodes - freaking out just because she got to see her beloved naked. And I freaking hate Chizuru and think she was a waste of time.
The thing that makes this show worth watching is Kyouko. With the good sales, I think there's a chance of a 2nd season if there are enough manga volumes to animate. Does anyone know how many manga volumes have not been animated?
