So my asheville NC based anime group watched this today and it brought up all the questions I had about it when I saw it year or so ago.

First, if he is waiting for her in the future isn't he going to be still young while she could be 80 or dead...do we ever get any idea how far into the future he is? I don't remember doing so.

What exactly in the end is she supposed to have decided to do? Wait for him, work on time travel? Not really hinted at effectively in my mind.

Isn't the way the show ended a little anti-feminist in that she is waiting for a man?

I don't know show really dissapointed me, it was really just a romance with the time travel part just tacked on with little to know explanation. I own it but really is not my favorite time travel show. Noein is much better and Stein's gate has it beat hands down.

What do others think?

I don't think you can take their statements literally. They're times are too far apart. They are just trying to ease their loss by making a romantic statement. He will be there in the future and she will be traveling though time (at the same rate as the rest of us) towards that time. True statements but she'll never reach his time. Just a way of fantasizing to ease the pain of loss rather than admitting that this is a permanent goodbye.
