Not clear yet if it's an OAD or TV series. I'd assume OAD, if only so I don't get disappointed when it's not a TV series.

Potentially good news. Even better if we get a decent amount of episodes and the wheel of animation studios lands on a good one.

Well, this is some good news, how good they will be depend on how long it will be! And also how good the show will be! ;)

Are there enough manga volumes for them to animate?

Wasn't this mentioned a few months back? Or is the news full confirmation that the project has the green-light?
Still. I am quite excited for more Minami-ke.

Dunno, there was some rumor or whatever, this seems to be more official.

Looks like it's (as) confirmed (as it can be without an outright press release) as a TV series based on the comment at the end of the bonus track. Yay!
Four seasons for late night otaku anime used to be pretty rare, but I guess all the three third season titles are finally getting to that point. ZnT, Hidamari, Natsume, etc, now this joins the group.

Ah, I was hoping to hear TV series. Now to just wait for more info and the glorious return of the sisters.

Confirmed for Winter! Director is Kawaguchi Keiichirou (http://myanimelist.net/people/6726/Kawaguchi_Keiichirou). he;s directed Nyan Koi!, Hayate no Gotoku (s1), Zettai Karen Children, Mayo Chiki!, Sket Dance, etc. Not a top tier director in my view, but more good than bad on his list I guess. He also was "supervisor" for OreImo but Director is credited to someone else.

I wonder what the chances of the other 3 seasons getting BD-Boxes are before this airs. It's been 4 years since the last season and that didn't get a BD release, so I imagine it's pretty likely.

Likely? The only two TV series that I know of that received BD boxsets (no BDs before hand) before the airing of another season were Shana and Zero no Tsukamia. Are there any others?
I'd like to skip season three, but I might have to buy all three boxsets if they are ever released for completion sake.

Hidamari Sketch is another, but what I'm saying is it's rather likely they'll release a series of BD-Boxes before the 4th season either airs on TV or releases on Blu-ray.
Actually when the 4th season releases either on TV or BD doesn't matter, I just think the prior three seasons will get BD-Boxes at some point because of this.

Man, its going to be sooooo weird watching this after reading the Hieronym fanfics.

Ok, it's not that far, which is good. Will see what that Director will offer us, let's hope it's gonna be something quite good. It's been so long since the last season, but I'm sure, when I'll watch the first episode, it will feel like we met all the characters just yesterday.

Seeing as I liked most of those (though I think I'm in the minority), I figure I'm somewhat more confident in this director than the last. Either way, I've been thinking about the show lately, so it's nice to know that it's coming back!

I'm totally okay with this, given how fantastic PapaKiki was.

Same studio as PapaKiki! This is some great news. Can't wait to see how they will adapt it.

At least its not Asread, to keep the bitching down at least.
Though I'm sure there will still be plenty of complaints.

No complaints there at all. I've enjoyed the last three shows they did. I'm also looking forward to their summer show, too.
For some reason, after seeing that Feel is doing the new season, I thought Studio Gokumi might also have been a good choice.

At least it is being done by a good studio. But seeing it animated by someone else is going to feel strange, I would think.

Season 1 was Duame, 2 and 3 were asread, so it's changed before.
It wasn't likely to be Duame again, since they've been rather quiet in the last few years. I think Shiki is the last show where they had lead animation production. All their more recent work is doing key animation or other assistance tasks. I agree with superdry that Gokumi would be good, but I'd rather they focus on Saki honestly, I want season three of that ASAP. An A-channel sequel would be nice too.
