I haven't even finished season 1 yet, but I like what I've seen of it. This set is fairly tempting though, especially with that pin set.

Same. I was waiting for the FUNi release since I didn't want to watch the broadcast version via CR. But now I can just import it directly instead. Always nice to be able to import shows I can watch.

Goddamn Kadokawa and their expensive BD boxsets for a 1-cour show. This is a reminder, though, that I should finally watch season 1.

¥36750? Not that I would have waited anyway but I guess that strikes a balance (well... for the Japanese market) of between being less than the singles (¥55,440, fucking ¥9,240 MSRPs) but not so cheap or fast that singles buyers say "screw it I'll wait for the boxset from now on".

Normally I'd say it's expensive (and well it's not cheap for damn sure) but it's one of the few re-releases we've seen of a show that already had a BD release the first time around. So there's not a whole lot to compare it to, and the urge to "protect the initial release" is probably stronger . This and Bakemonogatari are the only big series that come to mind for me as having this done.

But then it's Kadokawa so it was going to cost a lot no matter what.

That's pretty bad. Sad part is, it even has intifnite% more characters than all three singles boxes combined. Such a waste, so many good characters...

At a significantly lower price and called a "standard edition" sort of like what happened with Saki. Also makes sense to tie it in a bit with the movie, though it is two months later.

Lili Marleen is in the JP release right? Funi had to replace the song for NA... I would guess the dub would still be missing the song.

Well, I just placed my order along with season 1 and the Movie. This is so awesome, I thought I would never be able to get this great franchise! So, everything should (we all know Amazon JP) ship in December.

Now I have absolutely no reason to begrudgingly support Funimation's release.

So tempting to buy the two boxsets since now they are rather cheap. Well, I still need to get around to finishing the series though.
