Bah! Now we're talkin' really old. What do you suppose is the oldest anime on BD right now? Galaxy Express movies? Do we have anything else from the 70s?

Lupin the Third and Ashita no Joe TV series are probably the oldest. There's also Ace wo nerae movie which I believe is from 70s as well.

Kamui Gaiden is from 1969, although not many outside of Japan have heard of it (including me until I heard about the BD release): http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=97153

You're right, I forgot about Lupin TV. I didn't even know about Ashito no Joe TV on Blu-ray, only the movies. And Ace wo Nerae was definitely 80s. It came after Wings of Honneamise.

Well this certainly makes sense as a tie-in for the live action Yamato movie. Hopefully we'll see Kenshin TV on BD when the Kenshin live-action film comes out.

Since we never saw a remastered DVD release of the other two TV series, is that a bad sign for getting a Bluray of them any time soon?
