I guess it's understandable as to why it's so high, it being fairly new and containing the OVA on Blu-ray.

Very high, yes. ¥3,990/ep. Not sure I've ever seen a TV anime break ¥4000/ep so this is about as bad as it gets.

Gosick, Strike Witches 2, Sora no Otoshimono forte, Panty and Stocking, and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka, all had volumes at 9240 yen per volume w/2 episodes a disc, so it was ¥4620/ep for each of them.

The manga OVA probably added to the price so I'm not surprised at it's MSRP (OreImo also has a 29400 MSRP, but that's a 1.33 cour show). Also, too lazy to look it up, but did any of the singles come with the event footage too?

The event was held in mid-July, so it was nearly impossible to be included on any single. Volume 2 did have a pre-airing event, but that is not included with the BD-Box. The only other feature not included in the BD-Box was a flash anime included on v6.

Having imported the singles, i don't know how i feel about the box release. Sure, it's early for a box. However, Another is a great show (with some annoying flaws in the plot), so i hope more people will pick it up this way.

The singles release came with a beautiful storage box, the slipcase art is just gorgeous (though the actual cases for the discs are rather plain DVD cases, what imo should have been a lovely digipack, but i guess you can't have it all) and some of the extras are very nice. I actually have the Misaki good-luck-charm dangling from the rear-view mirror in my car. :D

So i got my money's worth and don't regret it. Importing isn't entirely rational, anyway.

The three postcards are reflecting the three visuals of Mei Misaki: anime, manga, and live-action movie. The movie's LEs (http://www.another-movie.com/dvd.html) have them as well. Kadokawa is just doing some inter-promotional work since they're publishing the novels, manga, movie, and anime.
