For the first time ever, Proware is releasing Blu-ray releases that originated from TV series. Release date for all of the solicited volumes are 2/15/2012. The releases include Japanese audio with Traditional Chinese subtitles (that can be turned off). MSRPs for the volumes are 650元 each (about US$21.47).

Hmm...tempting. I already own the first three JP volumes of Hidan no Aria, but buying all the TW version will be cheaper than buying the last four JP volumes I need to complete the series.
I like the fact that there are more and more BD's being released in TW now. I wonder if the Japanese have the same "reverse importation" fear since Taiwan is in the same BD region as Japan unless it's harder for a Japanese consumer to order a Taiwan release than a US release.

Madoka Magica (from Muse Communication) was the first TV series solicited in Taiwan. Blue Exorcist (also from Muse Communication) was mentioned after that, but not solicited. And then we get these two series next.
And looking back, the TIBE info (http://www.prowaremovie.com/nameware/2012_TIBE_Paper/Proware_2012_TIBE_P39_Back_cover.jpg) proofed to be pretty accurate. It would be interesting to see from here on how far apart the solicitations will be between the DVDs and Blu-rays. For example, how would a series like Mayo Chiki! (linked above) will be handled in the future.

Same here. I guess now I should keep a closer eye on TW distributors in the future and see if they have any BD titles I would want, but didn't want to spend the money on the JP release.
Makes me wonder if any of the companies that license anime in HK will release more anime on BD (anything besides the Haruhi movie, so far?), too.

That's definitely one approach that one can go with. The BD single route at a cheaper option (vs Japan). Though don't expect as much internal/external extras as Japan (EDIT: and packaging too).
Makes me wonder if any of the companies that license anime in HK will release more anime on BD (anything besides the Haruhi movie, so far?), too.
Their releases are really sporadic when it comes to TV series. The BD releases are not consistent (even for movies and OVAs). By consistent I mean, there doesn't appear to be BD releases every month.

That's definitely one approach that one can go with. The BD single route at a cheaper option (vs Japan). Though don't expect as much internal/external extras as Japan (EDIT: and packaging too).
For 2nd or 3rd tier shows, I don't mind the loss of extras.
I guess I have to just look at the TW sites once in a while or wait for you to post info since I doubt there any other place that is English friendly that would post such information.

No such English site from I know. ANN does update the licenses pretty regularly when you look up the respective TW studios.
Release date: 3/9/2012 for all three volume releases.
