Thought this was a kids show and then the first thing I see is a drunk woman sleeping it off on a cat in the gutter.

This is not a show for kids. I thought it was, but it's not.
A fat cat is a perfect pillow for a drunk woman.
Poyo will crush you as you sleep. My cat also does this to my mother and me.

-Papa Sato is a legendary man who used to be able to life 120kgs of rice. Now he only lifts 200kgs. Wait...

-Weirdos leave kittens behind. Or Oni don't have their pets spayed & neutered.

-Poyo is a mother. He isn't enthused with this turn of events.
-Kittens get named after fruit. But Ichigo & Lemon are the same character...
-Silly Daifuku hamster. Cats are not yummy.
-All the kittens get quickly adopted. In their new homes they miss chubby Poyo.
-Well except for the old man's favorite. He misses you to Plum.

Gonna go hug my cat now. He's getting old and fat.

-The old lady next door has horrible eyesight.
-Kuro is not frightned of repairmen. He is sexually attracted to their heads.

-Poyo's roundness is convenient.

-The cake is a prize for guessing which protrusion of Maru's is the correct foot.
-Moe is super strong and a master of kung fu. Because she has a fat cat?
-Kuro's senile old owner likes to put Poyo in girl lothes. So that Kuro will be more attracted to him?
-Greenhouse secret base. All the kitties hang out there. Especially the newborns. Awww.

Winter is coming. Or rather already here.

-Old crazy neighbor won a trip to a hot springs. She can not take Kuro as her +1 so Moe gets invited.
-Nice vacation spot. But everything reminds them of the cats they left behind.
-"Food tastes better when you fight over it with a cat." Um no? Especially not if they have claws.
-Poyo & Kuro miss their catladys. Time to sleep together. On Moe's brother.
-Happy cat reactions to owners coming home. Chatty type. Meow~ Silent type. *headbutt* Damn those are my cats.

-Poyo can stand on his hind legs! They must be straining under 20 kilos of cat.
-Poyo is a wonderful cat who never scratches anything in the house... except one bookshelf.
-Pets will eat very strange things.
-Catfood is not tasty Moe.

-Pancakes & cream puffs are all shaped like Poyo.
-Poyo enjoys nightly walks but not being locked out. Moe is a heavy sleeper so Poyo's scratching only bothers her brother.
-A walk outside with Poyo shows Moe is out of shape compared to her insanely fat cat.

Spring has come and gone.

-Time for strawberry picking season. Well being tricked into selling strawberries. Maru of course comes along.
-Ichigo~ One of Maru's "babies" is the field mascot.
-Strawberry natto... that is going to far in putting strawberries in every traditional japanese food.
-"You can pick strawberries without bending over now." Wait what? Those are some tiny ass strawberry plants on tables. I'm used to picking my own from bushes as tall as I am.
-Maru avenges Moe's brother by eating the bee that stung him. Good Katshiro (http://jouttex.otadesho.com/uploads/1010/fxe/mou.jpg). But that bee was already dead.

-Spring is finally here. Time for cleavage. And chest hair.
-Maru is like water. He flows to take the shape of any container.
-Petscome home covered in pollen and dust. Thankfully hamsters are indoor only.
-If you are looking for something, odds are your cat is currently sleeping on it.

Spring. Allergies. *sniffle*

-New neighbors arrive. The wife is afraid of all animals.
-Fear not Maru will solve your phobia.
-Maru is not a tsuchinoko (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsuchinoko). Listen to the narrator.

How do you confuse a fat cat with a fat snake?

-Sorry Moe, but I don't think many people besides you would love how Poyo looks. Let alone publishers of a cat magazine.
-Or they love him even more...
-But he's not cat shaped enough to be included.
-Poor fat Poyo.

-Poyo is loved by his neighbors, but misunderstood. No he is not a hamster.
-Poyo & Kuro get into a fight with a masked palm civet. The civet loses to Poyo's superior sumo.

-Yummy delicious maru muffins.
-Curry muffins?
-Grandchildren are greedy little monsters and far louder than a cat.
-Moe mune!
-It's a bird. It's a plane. No! It's Super Sphere!

I did not expect bath fanservice in this show.

-Futons are fluffy.
-Pretty little kitties are violent.
-Poyo will save a damsel in distress.
-Poyo almost ends up in a forced marriage.

This aired about the time a new cat wandered into my yard and made herself at home. If only she would get along well with my cat as quickly is little Eri-chan.

-Cat's love houses under construction.
-Cat's do not love sinking into wet cement.
-HAHAHAH! Dad comes to help but leaves Hide to clean up the giant hole in the cement.
-Poor half bald Poyo.

Cat's don't seem to mind having shaved off patches in my experience. They just don't like the sound of the shaver.

-The idea of tiny hand held Poyo kittens makes Moe's nose bleed so much.
-Tsuchinoko Poyo strikes again. Silly neighbor Yuka.
-Tsuchinokos can evolve!

I want a small fluffy kitten. :( But I already have enough cats. Maybe there's a chubby snake in the woods?

-"You're so cute. " "Ouch" "You're heavy. Get off." All phrases I have said so many times to my cat.
-Hmm spider plant. I could use something green & cat friendly besides the cactus.
-I don't think I've ever shown of cat scratches like battle scars...

I recognize far too many traits of a pet owner in myself.

Poyo is a noble lord of the neighbor hood. Keeping bully animals in line and helping those in need. Also crows are chivalrous dicks.

-Rainy season is cleaning season for Moe.
-The old lady next door has not died. She has a DS with Brain Age.
-Old lady is also a cooking mama scientist.
-When Poyo goes outside it isn't raining. Poyo controls the weather.

-Poyo vs Rain. Maybe he isn't a weather god.
-Poyo loves eating bonito.
-Poyo loves eating frogs.
-But not toads as big as he is. They are frightening.
-Toad god has put the fear of frog into Poyo.
