パパのいうことを聞きなさい!

19 year old college student's older sister's plane goes missing, and he's suddenly got three cute daughters. My in-depth analysis of the premise concludes: hijinks probably ensue.

Somewhat surprisingly this is two cour.

What. the. fuck? I hope it has lots of Raika-san then.

Two thoughts on the premise.

A) Minami-ke, the early years

B) The girls appear to be Yurippe, Riko from Hidan no Aria and loli Ganaha Hibiki

Huh, two cour is rather surprising to me, too. I guess that's good if this show turns out well. Seeing the director has my expectations rather low, though.

Or not? It was reported as such a few times (in stories that got everything else right) but based on the solicitations (http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?p=1973337#post1973337) it's decidedly one cour. Guess I'll edit the top post for now.

Well, that ended slightly better than the last show that opened with a college drinking party, though there was a very large breasted girl involved both times. Raika is delightfully weird, and Hocchan's voice is perfect. I also love her tiny upturned nose.

Yuuta's acceptable enough as a lead, and Ono Daisuke is awesome as Nimura, such an Ono Daisuke character.

As for the "daughters", Miu's the clear favorite, Sora's not bad, and Hina is quite adorable.

But I can't get over how much they look like Yurippe, Riko and Hibiki.

For what it's worth, Crunchyroll lists this as being 26 episodes. Perhaps it will be a split cour series.

Speaking of crossover-like characters, that pervert guy definitely reminded me of Hirano from HOTD.

Anyway, uh... not for me. Not terribly surprised. Maybe I'll give it another episode.

Reika was bizarre enough to be entertaining though I'm losing my patience for perverted male side characters (they've never been funny) so I could do without her fellow club member.

Leaving your three kids in the care of a family member for an extended time is kind of a big deal. I'd be mad if a sibling did that to me without telling me before hand, especially if one was three and would need a lot of supervision. At least some notice on when they'd be coming back would be nice.

As Fence said, the character designs of the three sisters are so close to characters from other series, its hard not to think of them whenever they are on screen.

But what are Yurippe, Hibiki and Shouta doing in this anime?

-Tits! Party. Fatman stalker?
-Yo, yo yo?
-A spanking! A spanking! And after the spanking comes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtcSYPjJbgg&t=20s)...
-Chibi Ganeha Hibiki is adorable!
-Yo-yo-yo hime~
-Yuuta's kinda dull so far. And god damn it Japan get over honorifics among friends already.
-Oh damn you Japan. You made him not related two his elder nieces, fine. But one of them has a crush on him. You horrible bastards.
-Average best friend guy is complaining that Raika is a weirdo. And that's bad why?

-Does every boy in Japan join a club just because of a girl? Anime tells me this is true. Man there must be tea ceremony clubs just full of guys.
-There is NO WAY IN HELL that top would stay on her without straps when the apron/dress is pulled off.
-You could have introduced Raika to your sister Yuuta.
-NEKOMIMI YO-YO-YO!
-This is not Ikebukuro. Where are the fights? Where are the migrating vending machines? Where are all the pretty boys?
-Dawwww Chibi Hibiki is so cute.
-Bathroom. No... you can't. Don't do this. You're better than this.
-*sigh* At least she had some clothes on.

*sigh* Yuuta seems more average than an average male lead, but okay with the kids so far. Raika was amusing but came off with a very flat personality. His new best friend is just a gay guy covering it with big talk of women could be fun. This could be good, but there was too much loli baiting pant shots and adolescent crushing. I was hoping for Usagi Drops in college.

Yuuta's acceptable enough as a lead, and Ono Daisuke is awesome as Nimura, such an Ono Daisuke character.

That was Ono D? He seemed so subdued for Ono D. Also more gay than normal. Running from a woman in a white dress by a fog machine. *tsk tsk*

Wait... SS club!?

That was pretty good, for the most part. It's a cute show with a solid cast, but I really think this would be better with out the boob gazing and underwear shots. And why on earth was Yuuta sticking his finger in that toy?

Hina is adorable, Miu is a lot of fun, Sora is.... okay, but definitely the least entertaining of the three at the moment.

Raika is hilarious. Here's hoping she gets lots of screentime in the show.

Oh, and male lead is pretty solid. Not outstanding, but perfectly acceptable and didn't do anything particularly wrong either. Nimura was pretty amusing in his bit of screentime, so he makes a solid male friend character.

I have basically zero tolerance for the "perverted friend" character type.... and this guy really isn't one of those. He's a playboy, which isn't the same thing.

Episode 1:

- Ono Daisuke. <3 Uhhh, this whole opening bit isn't particularly what I expected though. Fat guy is really annoying and hopefully goes away after this. Raika was funny though.
- Hibik-- er, Hina is adorable. Utterly adorable.
- Ah, so led guy's sister's husband already had two daughters, the older two.

- What is up with anime characters being so situationally dense that they'll stand up in the middle of a crowded room and exclaim loudly in surprise, totally accidentally? Nobody does that! Ever! It's annoying, and just makes characters look much more awkward and stupid than is necessary or plot-relevant.
- Raika's boobs are a national treasure. Also, nice Hocchan.

- But yay back to the "daughters". Kitamura Eri for Miu makes me happy. As does Miu in general.
- Sora-ppe is really cute too, hopefully she doesn't angst over Yuuta too much. There's no way it's going to set them up together, and he already has Raika.
- I like the sister. And haha, Raiks gave him porn and a sexy cell phone image of herself. :sd:

- And here we go with "Not only am I not going to knock on a bathroom door, which any civilized human being should know to do, I'm going to stand in the doorway and stare at you for half a fucking minute when you're clearly very embarrassed and upset." Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. You can do one of these scenes in about 5 seconds, tops, and get the point across. Just lingering on his idiotic expression makes it obnoxious.
- On the upside, Sora is goddamned hot.

Sexy Sora aside, that was a disappointing note to end the episode on. If they can minimize the "Yuuta is a mouth-breathing retard who has no comprehension of basic human social norms" schtick, this could be quite good. He, for example, handled Hina competently, and could probably be a decent character if the writers can avoid character assassination by way of sucking him into a cliche parade. But as it is, I'm feeling wary that execution/directing could negatively impact an otherwise potentially good show. There are ways to show us Sora in a bra (a truly noble goal!) without resorting not just to cliches, but horribly executed cliches.

Definitely watching more though. All the females in this show are great, Hina is the best, and Ono D's character should be pretty good.

I was hoping for Usagi Drops in college.
While that would be pretty nice, I don't think there was much chance of it. Source material is a light novel published under an imprint aimed at teenage boys (shounen). Usagi Drop is josei.

The animation studio is Feel, who does a lot of "2nd tier but not (usually) trashy" visual novel adaptations and similar. So what I expect is a modest amount of fanservice and shounen cliches, but hopefully also including some decent characterization and a willingness to . So like, not beautifully written drama a la Hourou or Usagi or Clannad, but not pure fanservice-without-substance slop either. Probably something more on par with their entirely competent Fortune Arterial in terms of balancing service and story. The author of this series also wrote Mayoi Neko Overrun, so I guess we could also expect something not completely unlike (the better episodes of, since tone varied wildly in the anime adaptation) that.

Two cour? I really don't see why this one gets it.

Two of the daughters aren't blood related. Honestly. I should have seen this coming. But I didn't.

And Sora looks at a photo of her step uncle after saying she's not interested in guys her age. I believe we've identified main girl.

Anyway, Raika's pretty attractive and certainly interesting. Main guy's sister is pretty cool too. For the "daughters," Sora and Miu are tied.

It's interesting that the seiyuu for Sora appears to be new (Uesaka Sumire). For some reason, she reminds me of Hirano; I kind of like her voice.

Nimura's pretty attractive too. I'm not sure if I'd be gay for him (although, perhaps, he has a thing for main guy), but he's all right.

-Starting with a shower scene? This can't bode well.
-Cleavage: you don't have any.
-Chibi Hibiki is rather tall and has very long hair for a 3 year old.
-Silly Yuuta. You're supposed to let the baby win.
-Damn it Sora. You're ruining the fun atmosphere iof Miu teasing Yuuta and Hina being adorablely tired.
-Has Yuuta done anything buy fool around since he got here? You guys could have atleast animated him cleaning up the table to make him not look useless.
-That was a flashback I didn't really need to see.
-Big breasted girlfriends not allowed. :(

-You guys have already intorduced a beautiful busty babe and you have to use the small children as the "fanservice" in the eyecatches... What is wrong with you!?
-Heh. The rules & guided tour is cute.
-Uh that's doing chores in the reverse order. But I guess you do need to calm down a 3 year old fast.
-Engrish meteors.
-You bastards...
-Sora & Miu don't have the same mother.
-This has just turned into Usagi Drop x3. Only more so since Yuuta owes his sister.

Well that went for a very dramatic turn of events that was hamfistedly forshadowed cutting right from the meteor shower to the plane. I just hope they can rein in the loli-ness and just focus on Yuuta having to deal with three little girls, plus college, plus trying to get a girlfriend. That's more than enough area for drama and comedy.

-Sora & Miu don't have the same mother.

Yeah, and they said Miu's mother was a foreigner and still living (so that's why blonde hair in her case: she's actually half-Japanese). So I guess dad was married to Sora's mother, she died, married Miu's mother, divorced, and then married Yuri.

That's a bit of a stretch, given how different the tones of the two series are...

Well that went for a very dramatic turn of events that was hamfistedly forshadowed cutting right from the meteor shower to the plane.Yeah, I almost thought that we were going to see a meteor strike the plane. I'm disappointed that the show went that route, but it's not unexpected, given the title. I'd prefer him to be a babysitter than "dad". The show's mostly tolerable so far, but there are more clichés involved than I'd like. At the moment, I'm not expecting much and can't imagine making plans to import the Japanese release (which I am doing with Usagi Drop).

I just hope they can rein in the loli-ness and just focus on Yuuta having to deal with three little girls, plus college, plus trying to get a girlfriend. That's probably the best way forward.

I'm not really getting why this is something people are getting all flipped out over. A 14 year old girl having a crush on a (in their mind) "cool" college student? Thats hardly unusual.

And its not like fanservice of 14 year olds is something unusual in anime.

In the long run, 4-6 years isn't that big of a difference. On the other hand, he's not just a college student though. He's her step-uncle and now adoptive father. Assuming the show follows the standard light novel formula, it's inevitable there will be romantic tension. Raika never had a chance.

It's possible the show won't go this route, although I wouldn't bet against it.

Hina is utterly adorable. The house rules tour was particular gold (though all the girls were pretty fun in that part).

Miu is a lot of fun, but Sora could get annoying if her behavior isn't toned down soon (both the yelling/denials and the constant blushing and other dead give aways that she's crushing on him). Really didn't need to see that awful scene of Yuuta walking in on her in the bathroom AGAIN.

Nothing that I would flip out about. Just felt it was heading in a cliched direction. Would have liked to have seen a new twist.

The only complaint I had about the fanservice was him standing there staring like an idiot.

- Way to go Sora! You avenge your sister!

- It’s so impossible for Yuuta to say he can’t stay now, right?
- Oh…he can’t bring his big-breasted girlfriend over…Too bad!
- The visit around the house was priceless!
- News flash…Airplane crash… You can’t be serious… 200 people missing, including a Japanese couple….no…
- So they are really dead…Oh my god…
- No…they can’t be separated…that’s way too cruel… They already lost way too much…
- Well, it was expected, but way too go Yuuta!

Wow…didn’t expect the show to go that way. It can be better than I expected at first. If they don’t do bad clichés anymore it can help quite a bit.

Episode 2:

- Mmmm, naked Sora.
- Oh. Damnit. So I guess subjecting us to that horribly executed scene once wasn't enough. We're supposed to start the next episode off with it too. I'm seriously reevaluating how long I can stick with this show if it... if...
- ...OH GOD HINA IS SO CUTE okay fine I'll keep watching.

- Yuuta you jerk, you killed Hina! ;_;
- Sora-neetan!
- Heh. Miu is going to have so much fun teasing Yuuta.
- And Sora for that matter. Miu is the official PapaKiki troll.
- Sora-neetan is a fantastic big sister. Even in the middle of throwing a fit about Yuuta, the second Hina needs looking after, Sora is right there by her side. Like right here, she storms out of the room only to come back in a second later when she realizes Hina has fallen asleep. I really really like that about her. Especially because Hina isn't even her biological sister. There's no "you're not my real family!" angst there, Sora clearly loves her no differently than a blood relation. It makes me happy to see Hina so loved, and it really adds some depth to Sora's character too.

- Ahahaha and right back to trolling. Oh Miu. Great scene with dad almost killing Yuuta. XD
- Oh, and his sister didn't really go fly far away without telling him. It was just for the day, to get him used to the girls. In which case she can now go far away and leave him there. =P
- Awwwwwwww ;_; Heh, Yuuta gets guilt-tripped like crazy, but it's such a sweet scene. Sora and Miu really have accepted Yuuta's sister (even if they don't call her mom yet). Man. When do remarriages ever work out this well in anime? It's so heartwarming. I really hope the stupid scene at the end of episode 1 is an exception, not the rule, and that the wonderful scenes in this episode are what we've got to look forward to.

- "Oi oi!" Hina you are the cutest 6-and-under little girl in anime since Ushio and Rin. <3
- And Yuuta becomes Papa.
- ...The meteor shower scene is supposed to be be sweet and all, but I just could not help but thinking, "Hey I bet one of those meteors is mommy and daddy's plane crashing to earth in a fireball." >_>

- Waaaaaaaaaaaaait. Okay, um wow, I knew there was a plane crash, that was in every synopsis of the show I'd read, but I thought it was just that they "went missing". Not "They're fucking DEAD." Holy shit.
- Well, Yuuta, you're no Daikichi, but you're a lot better than some scenes made me fear.

Damn. Talk about completely blowing away the first episode. I'm glad the "big development" was held off until the second episode because we got a lot more time to get to know the family before shit went down.

Pretty amazing episode after we got past the first scene. If the rest of the show tries half as hard to be this emotionally poignant and engaging, this could be a fantastic show.

I really hope it doesn't. I really really like Sora (more than most people here it seems) but I can't think of many ways to pull this off well, and plenty of ways for it to fail miserably. Which would suck, because after this episode I see serious potential for a really poignant story, if the writers are interested in such a thing.

I'm definitely a Sora fan (although I'm shipping Raika at the moment). And I'm not saying you couldn't do a vertical incest story well... it's just the power difference tends to bother me.

Well, this is a light novel, which are basically almost eroge for teenagers who can't yet buy them. I'm not expecting much, beyond some good Sora/Raika/Miu moments. Light novels aren't really known for their originality.

-The super cheerful OP kind of kills the mood.
-Una Una Heaven! Chibi Hibiki is a magical girl.
-Lunch at a family diner. Sadly not Wagnaria.
-Oh but can't eat at a place full of happy families. Even though all of you are rather cheerful right now. Must eat kareoke instead because it's less fun...?
-Chibi Hibiki is a natural born idol!
-Hey you know auntie on phone, you and the rest of the family could help out with living expenses for the girl ya know.

-Hina isn't old enough to know what's happened to her parents. Sing on Chibi Hibiki. Your unwavering spirit must be a shining beacon for your sisters.
-Miu: "You live in a dump. Where's the porn?" Hina: "This place is awesome!" Never change you two.
-Hina: "This isn't my house. From my house you can see the sun." Hehehe.
-Does Sora have loud stinky shits?
-Mow~Mow~ :sd:
-Slutty Joker.
-Miu sleeps with fuzzy gloves on. That's odd.

That was better. Less loli teasing, except for the curtain bit. But the elder girls seemed too cheerful for most of the episode. Even if they were putting up a brave face for Hina.

It is weird how anime keep showing extended families not seeming to care about children's feelings and death in the family. Just unreasonable aunts & uncles with glasses you never see again. Except in Summer Wars. Because Summer Wars is awesome.

Miu knows what she's got, and how to use it.

Also, her and Nimura are a very, very dangerous pair.

Really good episode, the girls are very convincingly their age (though Miu really doesn't even remotely look 10), and it was interesting that they basically ran away.

"some stuff happened and I ended up with them somehow". Um, yeah, I guess that's one way to put it.

Hina singing karaoke was adorable (just like anything Hina ever does). Miu continues to be awesome. Hopefully Nimura gets some more chances to interact with them.

Sora avoided the kind of things that bugged me in the previous episode. Though I could have done without the bathroom thing.

And Hina not knowing that her parents are never coming back even after the funeral bothered me. I know she's only three, but while a three year old may not be able to really comprehend what death is, I'm pretty sure they can understand "Mommy and daddy are never coming back." But apparently no one felt like explaining this to her.

Hopefully Raika will start getting a semi-decent amount of screentime again now that the set up is basically over.

Yeah, I was thinking the issue was that people could hear her peeing and that Miu explained it as being a "feminine issue" as an excuse. Which is really odd, because A) okay, sure, girls might be more sensitive about certain things than guys but it still seems really silly to get that worked up over that and B) it's really bizarre that explaining it as "she's having her period" would be LESS embarrassing.

However, it makes more sense if it was an issue with having her period to begin with, and it wasn't "we can hear you pee" but "we can hear you inserting your tampon" or something like that. And if that's the case, I can accept Sora reacting that way and my issue with that scene is moot.

At first, I thought it was just that you could hear her going to the bathroom, but the girls said that he couldn't use the bathroom until an hour went by. That probably means she changed a Tampon and there was a residual oder that was embarrassing them.

Right, that's when it clearly became a "feminine issues" problem and was an obvious reason for the one hour delay. But Sora wouldn't have needed Miu to tell her that and if she did, Miu wouldn't have done so by telling her that she could *hear* her.

My take on that was that Miu started out by referring the fact that Sora could be heard in there and they realized that there was the question of odor. They came from almost entirely female household and are not confronted with living with a male, who for Sora and Miu, isn't even a relation. Dad's probably don't count in that situation and they may have even had their own bathroom. Sora probably wasn't even thinking about it till Miu brought it up.

Overall, a pretty sweet episode. It's kind of sad that Sora and, to a lesser extend, Miu, have to keep up a strong face for Hina's sake.

From what I've read, some Japanese women feel uncomfortable urinating in a public setting (See the "Sound Princess" section of the Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toilets_in_Japan)). They even make devices designed to mask the sound. There are, as expected, a ton of weird Japan articles (http://www.iol.co.za/news/back-page/sound-princess-eliminates-toilet-noises-1.223254) about this (although I'm hesitant to draw any conclusion about how common it actually is, beyond the offered sales figures). The "feminine issue" could be either Miu trolling or a slight mistranslation. After all, Yuuta is a guy and would not understand their discomfort.

In any case, I think this is a case where an aspect of Japan's culture may not just translate well.

It is weird how anime keep showing extended families not seeming to care about children's feelings and death in the family. Just unreasonable aunts & uncles with glasses you never see again. Except in Summer Wars. Because Summer Wars is awesome.

Perhaps it's weird to you, but it certainly reflects much of my extended family. On the other hand, while Summer Wars was a great anime movie (if having the standard ending), it doesn't reflect my experience very much.

Yeah, I remember reading something about that before (I think it was even linked on these very forums, though I haven't gone searching around for it ), and it was the first thing that came to my mind when Sora's embarrassment came up this episode.

- The second I see the 3 girls together, I find the 3 of them adorable right away. They are adorable individually and as a trio as well!
- When Kouichi enters the Karaoke room he gives a flower to Miu and says she can be a model, he takes Hina in his arms…but pretty much ignores Sora… Booo…
- Visit of the Yuuta apartment…Kitchen is cute…bath is cute too… Yeah Miu that is how you should see it!
- Sora…it’s sometimes difficult to be the older sister… You play your role pretty well…
- The lost of both parents sure is the worst thing that can happened…but at least Sora, Miu and Hina will be able to stay together…

Well, this anime continues to be better than I expected. It has good mixtures of cute moments for it not to be too depressing…but also sad moments and deep moments. It was still really hard to watch.

Episode 3:

- So they pretty much ran away in the middle of the night to go off with Yuuta. Heh.
- And yeah, he's right, they sure seem to be over it quickly. I have a feeling it'll really hit them soon enough, though. Hina is young enough that I can see her just not quite getting it, but Miu and Sora will probably have some scenes where they really realize just what happened. At least I hope so, because this an abrupt shift.
- Lunacular Hina! SO CUTE!
- Hina Yaaaaaaay! SO CUTE * 2!
- Singing Hina! SO CUUUUUTE * 10000!

- "Some stuff happened." Uhhh shouldn't you tell him she died? I think that'd make it a but more understandable. Maybe he already knows, but if he did, going on about how "hot" she is would be incredibly inappropriate.
- Ah there's Sora looking a little depressed. She probably knows what Yuuta is really doing.
- Niimura is really good with the girls.
- Well, it's nice that the other family members are reacting rationally to this. They're pretty clear that he's doing something incredibly difficult and life changing, but they aren't breaking down his doors trying to steal the girls back either.

- Ouch, yeah, Hina really has no clue what happened. She's only three after all. I wonder how long they can keep this up.
- Tonari no Torotoro?
- "It's as big as our bathroom!" Haha.
- I'm starting to tear up. I just know they're going to kill me when Hina realizes what happened. ;_;
- I also really like that it's Sora who stepped in and tried to explain (even if only in part) things to Hina. Yuuta really wouldn't know how, understandably.
- Lunaluna PUNCH! SO CUTE * 1237861278361278!

- HAH. As soon as Sora went to the bathroom, I knew something was going to come up about how you can hear it. No way around that in apartments. :sd:
- Time to improvise! Changing room. Bathing together. Boob grabbing. Wait a second... heh.
- Phew. I was sooooooo worried they'd pull out some fanservice cliche while the girls were changing, like Yuuta tripping and pulling down the curtain or something equally insufferable. But we got through it without anything of the sort. Thank goodness.

And the rest of the episode was handled perfectly. Just perfectly. I'm truly starting to believe that the stupid scene in episode 1 was the exception, not the rule. This has the potential to be such a beautiful show, and I'm seeing a lot that tells me they should be able to pull it off. I'm so damn excited about this now, after these past two episodes.

Episode 4:

- I really like Miu's weird fingerless forearm gloves.
- Hinaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
- Yuuta you moron, go get changed in private. How do you intend on changing pants and underwear? Even if you consider them kids, there's limits to these things.
- Hina wants breakfast. GIVE HINA EVERYTHING SHE WANTS, RIGHT NOW!
- Okay, Yuuta bought a lot of stuff but that receipt is multiple times longer than what we actually see. Jeeze, that's like a $110 breakfast.
- Hina's little burp/hiccups are SO CUTE. Everything Hina does is cute. Everything!

- Hah, welcome back, Raika. You and your monotone. You will never be an actress.
- I sure didn't miss the other guy though. -_-
- Hahaha, fuck yeah Raika. Just beat that creep senseless.

- Sora-neetan cleans the apartment up.
- Sora-neetan messes the apartment up. :sd:
- Awwwwwwwww, Hina is so cute!VS&@WE&^@V!Y!! Time for an adventure. And greatly confusing Yuuta's neighbor. I wonder if we'll see more of her.
- Underwear is touching! End of the world!
- This is so soothing. Cute sisters running errands. I could watch this all day.
- Cooking. I guess Sora is going to suck at it, but it would be nice to avoid that cliche. But then she's never had a reason to cook before, so it wouldn't be too shocking if she couldn't.
- ...Miu and Hina, uh, you can't just permanently damage the walls of an apartment. Yuuta doesn't own this place. :sd:
- Hahhaa, oh wow that was disastrous. :sd: And ouuuuuuch, Hina hitting her head on the toilet looked painful.
- Whelp. That was sure a trainwreck.

- Aww... I feel bad for Sora. she really is trying, very very hard, and is taking as much of the responsibility on herself as possible. It's just tough to adjust after having parents all this time.
- Cake, the ultimate dinner.
- Ends on such a sweet note.

This is becoming one of my favorite ED sequences of the season.

Once again, fantastic episode. If the show keeps leaning so heavily in favor of really sweet moments like this, it's just going to make my imports this season even more incredibly difficult to decide on. This episode is pretty much everything I would have wanted from the show at this point. Even Yuuta isn't too bad, even if I still roll my eyes sometimes. Hina is just the most adorable character of the season, and Miu and Sora play their respective onee-chan roles to her perfectly, and to just the right degree (i.e. both do it but Sora as the oldest takes it farther).

Really, really excited about this show still.

So we meet the neighbor, Atarashi Kurumi, who isn't a student, but a seiyuu! (voiced by newcomer Nakamura Sakura (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=108055)). She's even in Lunaluna 7, which amazes Hina to no end.

We also learn how Sora first met Yuuta, and its pretty understandable why she has a crush on him. Also seeing 6 year old Miu and 10 year old Sora was interesting.

-Like clock work. :D
-Kurumi's very shy and a fast runner. Kamen Rider Chibi Hibiki is stunned.
-HAH! The less this show is about Sora the more I love it.

-Oh no. Those horrible many angled ones mascarading as people are back. It is best to avert your eyes from their faceless vissages.
-Sora is lost. The nameless faceless horrors have summoned forth a storm to awaken their misshapen god.

And Oh My God, that is the worst people CG I've seen in years. Possibly ever. That shit would have been embarrassing a decade ago.

On the positive side, we get to meet the neighbor girl Kurumi. Turns out she's a seiyuu. And she had an appearance in Hina's favorite show, Lunalula (or whatever it was). As the villain. Not nearly enough of her, but her one little scene was pretty funny (mostly thanks to Hina, but still).

- Oh no, Miu... stay far away from Sako. >_>
- Oh Raika. I hope you're always around to abuse Sako when he gets out of hand.

- Maaaaan, the CG crowd people are just shamefully bad. How did someone take a look at that, okay it for public consumption, and not be required to immediately commit seppuku?
- Damn Sora, you're a little too smitten with him. But man she's so cute.

- YAY, NEIGHBOR GIRL! Ahaha Hina is way way too adorable. Luna7!
- Hmmm, neighbor's seiyuu is Nakamura Sakura. This is her first named role ever.
- She's a seiyuu? AWESOME!
- Ahahaha she was in Hina's favorite show.
- And she just runs. :sd:
- Cute eyecatch.

- ...Just how long of a tension rod did Sora need to buy to section off the apartment? Even if it's a small apartment, that's still pretty wide.
- Wrong bus + cell battery dead = gonna get lost!
- Man that is some funky sounding thunder.
- How do you have to fall to scrape your palm on what looks like a smooth stone surface? But awww little Sora is so cute.

Love this ED.

I still don't want a Sora x Yuuta ending, but this was still really nice. I'm so glad that this show is devoting 95% of its effort to just telling a wonderful, sweet non-traditional family story.

A very touching sweet episode (apart from 10 seconds in the middle). I'm starting to wonder if I didn't give this show enough credit. Maybe it does deserve 2 cour.

As far as the house goes, I wonder what happens to it? Is the family going to sell it or just keep paying the upkeep? You'd think they'd at least let the girls get their stuff beforehand.

"Coloring" is growing on me as an ending song (despite not really being the kind of song I like).

I'd have to agree here. Inu x Boku SS has a couple characters that annoy me (not nowhere close to the extent here). Actually, I'm struggling to remember the last anime that had a character I would consider to be as bad. Plus, we already have the mandatory standard, friend character in Kouichi. What purpose does Sako even serve?

I don't know about "idealized" but just "normal" would be fine. As you said, one who distinguishes between reality and fiction, isn't drawn as a stereotypical caricature (300lbs, glasses, speaks like he's got respiratory illness and/or a golf ball in his mouth), and isn't utterly socially inept.

But... there are very few anime fans like that in anime, for some reason. Despite anime being for, well, people who watch anime, all the people who watch anime in anime tend to be idiots, while the protagonists almost never watch much if any anime. It's a kind of a bizarre phenomenon I understand it to an extent as a self-deprecating in-joke for fans but it's gone beyond that and become pretty much the norm, at least for male anime fans in anime (girls tend to fare somewhat better). Maybe it's supposed to make the people watching feel better about themselves, thinking "I'm definitely not as bad as him!" but I don't quite understand the appeal of such a thing myself. I watch anime to have fun, not to feel superior to fictional characters.

Sako is just especially annoying because when I think fat anime guys I now think of Daru in Steins;Gate. Daru is a strange shut in who spends most of his time on a computer and talking like any anime nerd. But he manages to be very likeable. I go back to Genshiken. With the exception of Kuchiki (who was supposed to be annoying), I found the entire cast quite endearing. Well, the two Americans were also annoying but that has more to do with me hating how we're stereotyped. From the opposite spectrum, Satou in NHK was clearly fucked up (like the rest of the cast), but self-loathing was also intended to be the point. So I also didn't mind him.

Here... I guess it's supposed to be comic relief? I generally like standard events and stock characters, but shudder.

Bwahaha, "Cute girls are the Ultimate!" "No problem!" And Raika gets to take a bath with all three of the girls. Raika is in her heaven and all is right in the world.

Sorry Yuuta, you've got no chance with Raika. She'd much rather sleep with Sora than you.

We finally get an episode with a good amount of Raika, and it was far better than I could have hoped for. Best episode of the show by a long shot, despite relatively large amounts of Sako as well.

-I don't know girls. I don't think Yuuta will be okay on his own. He barely knows how to do his own laundry.
-Hina is very nice. Hina is very cute. Hina's cuteness will conquer the world.
-Oh heck. When school starts again Yuuta's going to have to find someone to baby sit Hina. *hopes for seiyuu neighbor*
-I LOVE YOU RAIKA!
-Why are we having an extended scene of Sako? Why can't he be tied up and thrown in a pit? And why did you cover up your cleavage Raika? Thanks for keeping the miko outfit on though.
-Dinner with cute nieces. I am afraid.
-CRAP! I was hoping they weren't showing Sako because they did tie him up in the club room. This can only end badly.
-If Sako doesn't "accidentally" fall off the balcony this will be a bad episode.
-Maybe Raika is a bit pedo too. :\
-Why is a cute girl with a 90s OVA character design is outside listening?
-Raika route completion % has increased!

-Finally a Raika eyecatch. Took ya long enough. *drool*
-Aww. She's the best seiyuu ever.
-Lonely 90s girl has a lonely apartment.
-That apron's a little too tight Raika. *gulp*
-Hina loves Raika-chan! Raika is in cute heaven.
-Welcome to bathtime with your hostess Raika-chan.
-Don't worry Sora. Some day your clouds will be bigger too. But not as large as Raika's mighty thunderclouds.
-Raika is very happy now. *blush*
-90s girl is the landlady! *dun dun dun*
-Little cranky in the delivery, but he did break his lease.

I'm tore. Lots of Raika was nice. But there was 500 times too much Sako. But Raika got to bath with the kids and seiyuu playtime. But Sako is still breathing. Hard to tell it this was the best or worst episode. :\

Why the hell is a looney pedophile a character in this show? Sako needs to be replaced by a normal anime nerd. He is the worst character this season.

It would be great if he could be replaced by another character that for sure! But... it looks like next episode he will...would like to say die, but that's not it unfortunately.

- Of course Hina is popular! That’s a given!

- So Hina…enter back home… How will she react…?
- Now Sora and Miu are back at home too…
- Sako again…why…
- Also, why we always see Raika when Sako is there too… She needs screen time with him far far away.
- Sleepy Hina! So adorable!
- And yeah here is the cliché…Are you that dumb Yuuta when it comes to clichés? They are panties, can’t you tell…? Oh well…

Episode 7:

- Hina likes ants.
- Hina likes popsicles.
- Ants like popsicles too. Don't feed the ants, Hina!
- Oh and Yuuta survives a family check-up of how he's holding up as the girls' guardian.

- ...Monotone shibari miko. I DONT UNDERSTAND.
- "Shibari miko moe." Haha well yeah I guess that would be a thing.
- Die, Sako.

- Yuuta, your desire to please Raika led you to make a terrible decision. Don't let Sako in your house! Thankfully Raika and Niimura are coming along too.
- Hahaha, awesome, Raika has taken a liking to Sora. I guess she likes cute pouty teenage girls.
- Oh god fuck you Sako. Talkign shit about Sora, I'll kill you!
- ...Or maybe Raika will kill you first. HAH, wow, she really, really likes Sora. Cuteness 100%! This is a very nice development. I really want those two to get along, because it'll blunt any jealousy big time.
- ...Not that the jealousy will go away. Clearly. Still, I'm dying for Raika to become an onee-san type to Sora. Sora has a really heavy burden to bear as the odlest sister, as the one who always needs to act mature. She can't really confide in Yuuta due to how she feels about him, so she has nowhere to go. Raika would be perfect.
- Raika reiterates her love for cute girls. Awww.
- And it looks like Yuuta is getting more traction with her too. Man, the perfect story progression for this show is just so obvious. It must move in this direction.

- Brown haired girl again. I get bad vibes from her, like she's gonna turn them in to the landlord for exceeding occupancy limits and get them kicked out or something.
- Super Cooking Time with Chef Raika-san! Raika is teaching Sora to cook... yes, exactly like this. "Raika-oneesan" is the goal! Sora must say that before the end.
- HAHAHAH, what a look of pure ecstasy on Raika's face when Hina says she loves her.

- Now Raika and Sora are bathing together. We're getting closer and closer. Everything is going just as planned.
- Boo, totally overdid the steam.
- Loving cute things makes your breasts bigger!
- Oh fuck this is too cute. They're so, so, so adorable together. <3
- Suddenly, Raika is in heaven! Three cute naked girls in the tub with her! Yaaaaaaaaay!

- Wait, moody brown haired girl doesn't even live in the same building?
- Oh fuck. I expected "angry neighbor". Not "landlord." They don't really have much of an argument against that, do they?

But the preview makes it obvious they're getting a helping hand and a new place. Must be Raika? Maybe Sako could be useful for once and lend them a place.

-Hina is 60% hair.

-Poor landlady. Old before her time.
-Haunted apartment, sounds great. Hina can become a summoner.
-Sako. Die.
-Kicking Yuuta out for breaking his contract is fine. But don't you be mean to cute seiyuu. Hina will crush you!
-Hehehehe. Destroyed by the cuteness.
-You... you made Hina cry. Unforgivable!
-AHAHAHA! Landlady's mom is Hina's old lady friend.
-Hina is the most adorable hostage.

The little family doesn't get kicked out and doesn't have to move in with Raika. Yet. Or maybe shack up with seiyuu girl. She already has a job. Unlike Raika who just likes cosplay and bondage...

Hina's superpower is terminal cuteness! Melts meanie landlady's heart with a single tear.

Far be it for me to suggest that Sawa's got something lodged up her but, but good god is she uptight. And lolz at her being the daughter of nice obaa-san, who's the real landlady.

Though I think that the girls moving in with Raika would be a fantastic idea. And I'm pretty sure she only wants to do Sora, so thats better than Sako, right?

Hina's cuteness knows no bounds or barriers.

-Miu is a model student.
-Is... is that a fat best friend you have their Miu? I though fat kids didn't exist in anime. Hooray for realism.
-GAH! polygonal monstrosities have invaded the school posing as cruel mockeries of the human form.
-Oh shit Miu is being stalked by a creepy old man! >_<

-Damn you eyecatch! Now I want the show to be about Hina & seiyuu-chan hanging out.
-Nimura... you've been in close contact with Sako for too long man.
-Date, shoes, Cinderella, yadda yadda.
-Crying because she misses her house... Did they forget her parents died only a few months ago?

For a Miu-centric episode that wasn't as interesting as I would have expected. It would be nice if they showed even some small emotional break downs because of dead parents once in a while instead of making everything seem all happy & rosey. Sure we like the happy Hina moments, but the other two could stand to be melancholy now and then. Besides Sora pining over her uncle.

- Man, landlady is within her rights but the show is sure happy for her to come off cold as ice. But with really obvious signs of a change of heart down the line.
- Raika finds out about the crisis. Raika smells opportunity. Sora-chan will be all hers! MUAHAHAHA!

- Meanwhile Yuuta gets to work like 30 jobs. But it's all worth it if Hina massages your shoulders!
- They're totally going to need to paint over the wall drawing...
- Hina is a hair monster! Haha so cute. Jeeze that is so much hair.
- Awwwww, adorable eyecatch of Raika and her harem. I still think it's beyond awesome that it's Sora she's really taken a liking to.

- Angry landlady and lax mom.
- Oh fucking go to hell Sak-- ...Thank you, Raika. =D <3 Raika.
- You're such a good girl, Sora. Always being so responsible. Always caring about those around you. <3
- HAHAHA YES! Who can melt landlady's heart of ice? Hina, of course! Hahah, awesome. Her mere presence turns a bitchy lecturer into a blushing mess.
- ...YOU MADE HINA CRY. DEATH! DEATH! DEATH!!!!!
- Heh well that went downhill quickly.
- And before you know it, it's naked time together and landlady is totally won over by Hina. =D

Episode 9:

- Hooray, Miu episode!
- Oh god, the CG people. Avert your eyes! Do not look into the monstrous abyss!
- Hour and a half to school? Damn, poor girls, that's brutal.

- Miu looks less than thrilled about school. I wonder if she's being bullied for her family arrangements? I dunno though, I have a hard time imagining her as anything but the class idol.
- And... she pretty much is, from what we're seeing. Maybe she's just tired.
- Hmmm. I guess it's kind of an awkward situation. They all seem to like her and have some sympathy for her situation. But it's like they keep some distance with her because of it. So nobody is being mean to her, but nonetheless it's still difficult to fit in.

- Miu and Niimura. ...Y'know, I'd totally accept them as a pairing. But since she seems much older than her age, it's easy to forget he's twice her age. I really like how all three sisters have been paired off with other characters outside the family to bond with: Hina and cute seiyuu neighbor girl, Sora and Raika, Miu and Niimura.
- Haha, Niimura, I really really like you and all, but watch how you talk while out with Miu or you might get picked up by the cops. :sd:
- Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, everyone singing the same song. <3

Really, really good episode. Niimura and Miu have a great dynamic, in that he can go around on a "date" with a girl half his age, doting on her all day, but never come off as creepy in the least. Meanwhile she knows she can trust him, and can be playful without either of them needing to take the game seriously. He's good at listening to her, understanding her, and cheering her up, while no doubt she's a lot of fun to be around for him, or anyone else for that matter. Oh, and a Miu-focused episode without a single second of Sako? Fucking win.

Aoki Ume end card! Ume-tenteiii~~~~ <3 <3

Frightening that 3 yr olds speak better English than adults in anime, but then I don't think they were speaking any language from this planet in Symphogear even though it sounded like English (somewhat). Is it a requirement that VA's not be able to speak fluent English? Maybe English sounds like that to the Japanese. ;)

That's only part of the solution: Raika needs to move in with Yuuta. She needs to get a part time job (or turn out yo be a rich ojou-sama). Yuuta drops one of his jobs (not the candy bunny guys). Get a second apartment in the complex for the girls to live/sleep in. Have the extended family chip in some cash to hire seiyuu-chan as a baby sitter and train Hina-chan to voice act. - Crap. That letter is perfectly worded to get the worst possible reaction from Sora. She's going to feel so guilty even though it's not their fault.
- Oh nooooooo... Hina. ;_;

Well, it was going to come back to that eventually. They'll definitely be visiting the grave in the last episode. And it's going to be depressing as hell. ;_;

...Oh god. That end illustration. The second my brain registered it I started tearing up. Hinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Least favorite episode by far. You know what, Yuuta? Your family was right. You weren't ready to care for three children since you're too god-damn dense to understand a ten year old shouldn't have a 3-5 hour round trip commute to school! Had you dropped out of college and moved closer, then maybe you could have done it. But you weren't ready and wanted to have it all. Give them up. It's in their best interest. Also, Sora needs counseling. Which is all the more reason to let them take over.

Breaking the news to Hina about their parents never coming back was really sad.
Sora found that letter...
Well, the girl's feeling about going away from Yuuta were pretty obvious.
The recital was sweet.
Nice final episode.

Wow...a punch to the stomach would hurt less than the beginning of the episode.
Oh good, the aunt and uncle aren't assholes.
Sora gets shafted! Raika says YES! Bwahahahaha! Sorry, Sora, you weren't even in the running.
Hina sings.
Hina gets kidnapped by the arcade workers!
Did they have to show Miu on the toilet?
Even the seriyuu wants Sora to be her wife!
Back to the old house!
Excellent series. I didn't think it would be this good.

Sora, you suck at explain death to three-year olds. But I suppose so does everyone else. Also, the laws of anime dictate that they're not really dead.

The conclusion was inevitable, but I still think Yuuta is half assing everything and thus not really ready to raise three girls. Granted, they only had one episode, but I would have preferred that Yuuta give up something (like going to college) if he was going to keep on doing it.

Otherwise, mentally editing out one character, it was a sweet episode.

Heh, Oitan becomes Oitan Papa.

Cute ending. Yay for them explaining to Hina that her parents are never coming back. They should have done that 8 episodes ago. That conversation was heartbreaking.

And Raika becomes Hina's mom! Only temporarily, but she sure enjoyed the test run....

A shame they had to shove Sako in there. Especially didn't need to see him sitting on the ground having orgasm. :(

Anyway, cute ending. Would be nice if it really is split cour.

The fact that they "died" in a way that left no bodies is very telling. Anime parents die in car accidents all the goddamn time, so there was no reason to have them die in a planecrash or any other way that left no bodies except to have them turn out to be alive eventually.

I suppose a suitcase with a stuffed rabbit meant for Hina could come back...

But yeah, I agree. Had this show been two-cour, they would have shown up right before the end.

-Took you guys long enough to try to explain death to Hina.
-Hina promised bunny. You can't break a promise to bunny!
-Hina won't cry anymore. Bunny promise.
-Sora, why is your stealthy stalker outfit so cute?
-No bad eyecatch. Even a tiny bit of Sako is too much.

-A grave confrontation lies ahead.
-Yuri was a one woman family. Aww.
-Raika's hat is celebrating president's day.
-AHAHAHAH! Oh Raika you and your hat are fantastic.
-*spittake* Yuuta actually did it. Holy crap.
-<3 Raika so much.
-Hina has the most mommies & daddies ever.
-Hooray uncle papa! Okay now it's cake time.
-CAAAAAAKE!
-Raika owns her own house?

The little family stays together. Hina is queen of the town. And Raika becomes s blushing bride. Happy endings all around!

Anyway, decent ending. Raika was very...well, Raika. I wonder if she's related to Minorin.

Episode 12:

- Hina. ;_______; I'm surprised they told her at the start of the episode, but that's definitely for the best. If they waited, there would be no time left for the aftermath. I'm also very glad that Sora was the one who did it, and found the strength to go through with it. You're such a good older sister, Sora. ;_;

- Sounds like about a week passed, maybe more. Hina finally decides to go to daycare but isn't quite the same. Yuuta is almost taking it harder, because he's losing confidence in himself as a father.
- Hina is trying to be strong. And it's heartbreaking. Hina won't cry because then Sora-neetan and Miu-neetan will cry, ;_______;

- Things get wrapped up with the relatives pretty quickly, but it's done competently enough. Although they really should set up some kind of financial assistance, y'know? I'll just assume that's one of the boring real-world details that's not important to fiction and will get taken care of off-screen.
- I'm also really glad that they're burying any chance of a last-second Yuuta x Sora romantic ending. They're not interacting like that at all, and thank fucking goodness. That's so not what this show needs. Family ending is best ending.
- Haha oh man Yuri was awesome. I miss her. ;_;

- Quiz show time with Raika!
- HAHAHA "Be my wife!" ::reaction faces:: ::pinpon::
- Haha aww. This is so silly. But heartwarming. Everyone loves Hina! Everyone, everywhere, always!
- ...Although the sound of multiple small children has always been one of my most hated sounds. I guess I'll give it a pass since Hina is involved. Even Sako more or less behaves in this episode.
- Hahaha, and a fun little cake disaster at home to get the name drop in.

Awwwwwwwwww!! The ED sequence epilogue was totally perfect. They finally move out (so yeah, looks like uncle and aunt did help out financially), and say goodbye to everuone, and Sora finds herself in large breasts again, and it's all totally utterly wonderful. <3

Soooooooo good. I love when a good show ends in a great way. This show did not disappoint, hell more than that it went far far beyond my expectations. It's everything I could have hoped for, really. This is well worth the money I'm spending to import it. Fantastic show.

- Now, it’s Sora who needs to go to daycare to pick Hina…
- And her grades are getting worse…
- Sora had to do it… she resigned from her club…
- Yuuta I hope you will realize soon that Sora is having problems to deal with the current situation.
- Kurumi lost her job as a seiyuu. But, she sure have another personality when she is drunk… she is not shy anymore.
- This threat is too expensive it’s the same price as five packs of eggs… that’s how Sora count the price of things now…
- Thank you Raika, you were able to notice something was wrong with Sora.
- Raika and Sora scenes. I always love them so much!
- You are the best Raika.
- Sora goes back to her club and she is hug!
- You can take your time Sora.
- Kurumi have a job again as a seiyuu. I never doubt it.
- Congratulation Sora, you were able to.
- And Sora is able to sing again.
- This anime sure knows how to end a episode.

Fantastic show!

- Only think about the yuri part with Miu, Sora. Please.
- Hina-chan sure is popular. Another scene with Sora and Raika, awesome.
- Yuuta is sleepy in his class, no wonder.
- Raika wanna be Mama.
- Sora is sleepy at school too.
- Hina is so adorable as always.
- Sora, you need to take the time to visit your parents’ grave.
- Work for justice! This is so Raika!
- The Sora’s dreams part sure are not my favorite scenes.
- What is the letter all about? It sure looks like bad news…
- So that is what the letter was about…
- We all knew it right? Hina is bringing back the subject about when her parents will be back… It looks like the last episode will be really sad…

Wow…that endcard…

- Poor Hina…it must be hard for Sora and Miu too. This is so sad. Sora, you are a really good sister.
- In addition to that, Yuuta is loosing confidence as a father…
- Hina won’t cry anymore because: “Sora-neetan and Miu-neetan will cry if I cry”. This is so hard…to hear.
- Some time has passed… Hina doesn’t practice singing and dancing at daycare anymore.
- Sora is reading that letter again… What will happen?
- I’m not surprised Sora is following him…he probably go to see the relatives now…
- Yuuta stops to his sister grave… He was about to say something, but Sora stops him and say; “I don’t want to leave you!”
- Welp, Sora misunderstood. Yuuta wants to stay with the three of them too. ^__^
- And here are the relatives… everything is clear now. Sora, Miu and Hina will stay with Yuuta.
- Yuri-san why did you die so soon?
- “Raika-san…please be my wife.” Wow…amazing.
- Hina-chan proves again she is so popular.
- “Twinkle, twinkle, little star.” ^__^
- Surprise! “Thank you for everything”
- Cake.

The epilogue ED was just perfect. They move out back to the house. Could not be better than that.

What a fantastic show it was. What a fantastic ending it was. Love this show a lot.

It's HINA time!

Episode 13:

- Hina uses her super Luna Luna powers to win a pool and onsen trip!
- Miu, looking good in that bikini.
- Haha oh no, Raika. You're going to destroy Sora's self confidence forever.
- Daaaaaaaaaaamnit. Why is doucheface here? ;_;

- Why is he still talking? Make him stop. At least Raika is there to beat the shit out of him.
- Raika is stalking... ...well more likely Hina than Yuuta.
- Yay, Sora finally takes the jacket off! ...And is totally padding. Nooo, Sora, you're just fine as you are normally.
- Haha, the pads last no longer than Raika's top.
- He's squeezing the pads! It's like remote groping!

- Sora's misunderstanding about Raika sleeping over results in awesome Miu trollface smirk. <3
- Raika is happy! A loli on her lap and a young girl to the side! Now just get in there, Sora, and Raika will be in heaven!
- Heh, breast smooshing for Hina. Join in, Sora! Raika will be happy to have you!
- Ahahahaha! Sora falls into Raika's breasts. Raiks is, indeed, happy.
- Also I love when all you can see of Hina is a few limbs sticking out of a GIANT MASS OF HAIR.
- Oh god, Yuuta, you don't stand a chance. :sd: Raika wants the girls as her children, and when Miu mentions Yuuta, Raika is all like "Huh what? Why would he be involved?" XD

- Hahahaha. Ohhhhh Raika. "I'm in love[1] and I need you."

[1] with Hina.

Really cute episode. Sako was annoying, but like the main series his awful scens were more than counterbalanced by everything else. Raika still likes the girls way way more than Yuuta, heh. Too bad we didn't get to see a non-padding bikini Sora though.

-Hina is magical and stuff.
-Damn it Miu. >_< Put on more clothes.
-Dear animators, Turn down the shininess. The girls are not covered in baking oil.
-Raika-sama~ <3
-Please murder the pedophile. Now. Bury him at sea. Fish will nibble on his flab.
-Yuuta is being a wonderful father. Raika's ovaries are on fire.
-No animators. No. No sexy wet Miu slow mo sparkles. No.
-*twitch* That is not your bosom Sora. For shame.
-Hug for all you're worth Raika.
-Heh. Sora you've deflated.
-*spittake* Raika set the girls free. :D
-It took you this long to realize Raika has the hots for Yuuta. Sora you are stupid.

-Come on baby!
-Sora just continues to be a creepy stalker. *sigh*
-AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Even Hina drops her donut. Ahahahaha. Okay Sora's incestuous tendancies were almost worth it for that donut punchline. *replays*
-No one will notice. Say he slipped and hit his head. He drown all on his own. No one has to know. Know you murdered a pedophile at the onsen.
-Hina is the best. Fact. None is more adorable than chibi-Hibiki.
-Uh. Uh... please stop being adorable and mooshy-mooshy Hina. It's weird. :sd:
-Raika proposed! Kinda. Well to being a mother. Still sweet.
-Raika is fantastic. She's going to propose again. For real. She's going to do what I think she's going to do isn't she? Raika you are a fantastic woman.
-AHAHAHAHHA! Okay not the whole family. Just Hina. That is even more crazy awesome that I hoped for.

This is a weird episode. I can't remember an onsen episode making me feel this creepy in a while. Also happy. But big spikes of weird. Raika is so wonderful. I wish she was in a better scripted and cast show (ditch pedo & Sora). If this show had been all about Yuuta & Raika getting together while balancing the most adorable toddler Hina it would be so good. As it is this was ups and downs. Great laughs counter balanced by cringing at pedophilia. Plus lots of Sora's young girl kind of insanity & angst. *sigh*

...so...Raika confirmed for toddlercon. I don't know how I feel about that.

Somehow I just don't connect Raika with pedophilia and believe she means it about them being her daughters.

The pedophile, OTOH, should just die.

Well, there was a good amount of Raika in this episode. Probably almost as much of her here as in the entire rest of the TV series, sadly.

More sadly, there was far too much focus on the lame "Sora has a crush on Yuuta" stuff done in the most lame, generic and downright dumb ways possible and way, way, way too much of the fat pedophile creep.

HitokiriShadow

-Dear animators, Turn down the shininess. The girls are not covered in baking oil.

I didn't really pay much attention to it in the TV series (I saw it but it didn't bother me) but it really stuck out here, especially at the beginning, and looked rather bad.

-Sora just continues to be a creepy stalker. *sigh*

This was my second biggest problem with the show (after that awful, awful pedophile). There could certainly be a good, interesting story about a girl falling in love with her uncle/sort-of-adopted father but this show clearly never had any interest of really going anywhere with it. It was just there for the sake of having generic rom-com/harem cliches as we watched her freak out about various things. It just really didn't gel well with the touching family drama stuff.

This is a weird episode. I can't remember an onsen episode making me feel this creepy in a while. Also happy. But big spikes of weird. Raika is so wonderful. Yeah, this, more or less. I mean, Raika coming to terms with her lesbianism and pedophilic/ephebophilic leanings (as in Sora or Miu, preferably the latter since she has a fun personality) would be preferable but the above is a much more realistic scenario of an improved show. I don't think the show needed to ditch Sora entirely, just her crush on Yuuta (either make that the main romance and actually do something with it or don't include it at all) and give her a personality beyond "OMG OMG Yuuta makes me wet OMG OMG he saw me naked *EEEEEEK*"
