Umm this is real as far as I can tell. Wow. And after I just (fairly recently) started watching it in Japanese...
The Bleach anime is a filler-bloated behemoth, so if they do end up animating the last part of the manga (which I heard may also be ending soon, or is that just speculation?) this could actually be a good thing... if not, that's really unfortunate. I'd love to see some of these ridiculously long shounen series end, but only with a conclusion. Just being outright cancelled is not good...
And if they were going to do this, they should have done it a year ago when they finished the last manga arc. Oh well.

I've only very loosely paid attention to that but from what I'm hearing, it has one arc left. However, the arc could easily last five years.

Given that I am watching a bunch of filler arcs right now while the main storyline about the Soul Reapers battling the Arrancars drags on that I had a feeling the end was near on the Japanese side. By my count, that's 366 episodes.

Fine by me. That series should have ended long ago. I still watch it every Tuesday, because I can't bring myself to drop it after watching so much (although bad enough filler could have prompted me to anyway, as with Naruto Shippuden), but I'll be fine with it finally being over, along with my self-imposed obligation to watch it all to the end. I hope they wrap it up nicely enough.

Well... just one more episode until it ends. Don't think I'll be sorry it's gone since it was a pretty long anime and the fillers were getting on my nerves. It was more interesting when it was dealing with shinigami in their world than this plot stretching... it just wasn't the old Bleach anymore anyway..

There were lots of flashbacks this time..
Not much fighting though. It was more like after battle feelings and stuff.
Relaxed final episode..

Well, that feeling can be good for a final episode in a way. Did they finish the story arc?

Yeah. It was very conclusive. There's obviously room for more, but it feels fine ending it here, just as it would have if they had ended it after the Aizen arc.

They did finally finish the fight that never ends over Karakura town? Maybe I'll get back to watching Bleach then.

That's good to hear. I still wish they would've ended it after the Aizen arc though, especially since I heard there was a time skip right after that.
Anyway, I hope they'll finish it up in a few years, but in the mean time, I think I think I'll go back to reading the manga (stopped right at the end of the Aizen arc).

Yeah, it would have made way more sense to end it after the Aizen arc. Nearly everything from the beginning of the series was leading up to it, and the arc proper lasted for a stupid number of years, followed by a two-cour filler arc, then a two-cour canon arc that takes place after a two-year time skip, and the end of that arc is where the anime ended today. So yeah, the Aizen arc was a much more fitting place to end it.

Yeah, that's really, really sad... I think the best we can hope for is an eventual sequel, but what I think we be even better is a complete reboot. Seems unlikely of course, but it happened to hunter x hunter and I'm pretty sure Bleach manga sells better than that, so who knows... it would be nice to see the whole story with no filler.

Actually Bleach's manga sales have declined recently (Hunter X Hunter is only outsold by One Piece and occasionally Naruto by the way) and given the recent ratings a part of me thinks they'd be hesistant to bring it back. Guess it'll depend on how well recieved the last manga arc is.
Personally I'd only want a "Final Act" of sorts if the arc proves worthy enough(seems as boring as Fullbring at the moment) and I'd rather Pierrot move on and work on something else.
