Zettai Karen Children

Well, recently Sentai licensed Zettai Karen Children. I would like to know what do you think of the title and is there anything that it can compare to?

Zettai Karen Children is a zany comedy involving 3 superpowered elementary school girls and their harried handler. It is light comedy entertainment and largely episodic. They use quite a few offensive stereotypes and have fun with some underage sexual situations since the girls can be quite mischievous so if you are squeemish about that stuff you should give this a pass. The show has some light drama surrounding how unhappy the girls are to feared and hated by most of humanity because of their incredible powers and what it is like to be a paranormal in a normal world. Sort of an extra light version of X-men stuff but the main thrust of the show is silly zany comedy and it is hard to take the drama seriously when these girls level entire city blocks by accident!

There isn't enough material to keep it entertaining for 51 episodes so it kinda loses steam after a while but if you don't offend easily it's not a bad way to pass the time and it is mostly amusing it just isn't going to win any awards.

If you like hayate the combat butler, mitsudomoe, paniponi dash, squid girl, and goofy stuff like that then you will probably like this. It's mostly just one shots of powerpuff girls getting into zany adventures mixed with anime stuff like all of then having a crush on the male lead, really mild fanservice played for laughs, and your occasional heart warming episode.

This may be something I really like! Since, I did watch hayate and Ika Musume and really like it!! And your description make it sounds like something that I would enjoy.

The series is about three girls with ESP powers working for a government agency called BABEL. There are few serious arcs, Zettai Karen Children but a light-heated version of X-Men. The girls have to deal with a society that is very suspicious of people with ESP powers.

There are a lot of references and cameos from other anime series like Lucky Star, Strike Witches, Macross Frontier, Hayate the Combat Butler, Mars and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

If you like action comedy anime then you probably like Zettai Karen Children.

I dropped it about halfway through, but have friends who speak very highly of it. If I didn't have a backlog of dozens of unwatched DVDs already, I'l probably be picking it up.
